WOYWW #843

It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Hello everyone! I didn't forget this week! I have a few things to show, which is nice, but first my desk this morning, with a little hint of my most recent project:

I've always liked Zentangles, and used to do a bit of it years ago. Recently I've been watching a channel on You Tube called Hu Art Drawing and fell in love with his Zentangles. I thought I would give his process a try...

Not too bad for not having done Zentangles for many years! I love the addition of watercolours to the Zentangles! If you enjoy Zentangles, check out his channel!

I also finished 2 pages in my JIYA Journal:

Megan Quinlan stencils. The first sentiment with the birds is from the Mary Poppins play (musical) that we saw last Friday. It's a song that I don't remember from the movie.

I also finished a page from my Fabric Journal (yes, still working on that!)

I did some zentangles in the purple hand! The image is from Collage Soup.

Well that's it for me! We are having another heat wave, which is also bringing humidity, but it's not too bad. We have AC so we are comfortable (actually I'm freezing!) indoors. I remember in the past trying to do my art without AC and dripping over everything! It is very nice that that isn't happening anymore! I hope all of you are comfortable wherever you are too, Have a great week,

Love your birds in your JIYA journal, especially that first blue one.
Wish I could say i like Zentangling. I admire it and would love to be able to do it but somehow I just haven't the patience to make my shapes uniform in size and it never looks right.. I did a course with Dyan Reaveley where we used black journals and white pens for our patterns. It was very effective. I do like the watercolour idea though. Good luck with it, your start is lovely.

I love your Zentangle! I got into it a bit some time ago but like Neet, couldn't make it as regular as it needed to be so was just glorified doodling! I do love your pages though. fabulous birds. Happy WOYWW Helen #2

I love HuArt! I’ve watched his amazing tutorials for a while now and yours is excellent, you did much better than my attempt! Nice to see the fabric. Journal as well, it’s been a while. Hope your high temps don’t last, the weather here is all over the place🙄

Loving the zentangles and especially the addition of water colours and how you've added them to the hand as well. Also love the quirky bird pages too and that you aren't "dripping" on your journals LOL, that made me giggle. Hugs BJ#8
