It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.
We have been having warm-ish weather this week, blue skies, sunshine, but it's supposed to get cold tomorrow. I do not like the cold!! Here is my desk, taken yesterday:
This is a very big piece of paper that I'm collaging as the substrate of my fabric book for Fodder School 1. I did both sides, and then painted over top with a coat of watered down gesso. Here is how it looked halfway done:
I use the telephone book as a glue station, just rip off the pages as they get covered in glue. Not much else use for these anymore!
And here it is finished, before the gesso. And then I did the other side as well.
Last week I showed on my desk ribbons and such to be dyed, here they are. I didn't want to use alcohol inks, so I used distress inks:
I also spent some of last week block printing on some of my fabrics, that was fun!
I saw a You Tube video of these circles (also hearts, but I haven't made any yet) and made some up:
These would be great to add to journal pages, ATCs, or just to give out to someone. Great activity when I can't think of anything else to do!
Inky seems to love the colder days, sits on her chair soaking up the sun...but Mittsy prefers to stay indoors. Here she is on her tree watching us have our "wine time", which she always joins.
That's it for me today, I don't have Pickleball today, so I should be able to make the rounds today! Inky and Mittsy send their "meows" to their cousins across the pond, and I wish you all a wonderful and creative week!

Lovely to see the fab things you’re working on, great colours! I haven’t done block printing for years, yours looks amazing! Love the kitty in her Queen of the Castle pose, made me smile 🥰

as I am sure you will have seen on some of the desks, parts of the UK have had snow here (luckily not where I am) - they can keep it! although it is due to get warmer again (and wet!) at the weekend... great projects you're working on this week. Happy WOYWW Helen #2
Love the block printing on fabric. So is the fabric going over your big collage? Thought I would try and find that YouTube circles video. Couldn’t find it, but bookmarked several other things to watch 🤣. I do find circles hard to hand cut, my punches are tearing paper! I don’t mind wonky squares, but wonky circles get smaller and smaller as I try to correct them🤣. Great idea using the telephone book as a glue station. I usually use stuff like junk mail and old magazines. Fabulous sunshine today, but the wind was bitterly cold ! Happy WOYWW. Angela #15
Loving your beautiful printing today. Bella sends purrs to both Mittsy and Inky.
Happy WOYWW

I'm loving the collage, looks brilliant. It's been very cold here with snow too but we are hoping for a few warmer days soon. You've certainly been busy with the fabrics too, they look great. Wishing you and the kitties a warm woyww. Hugs Angela x11x
What a productive week you've had! All your projects look fabulous but I'm especially intrigued by the ribbons dyed with distress inks, definitely adding that to my list to try! The phone book trick is genius too! Happy WOYWW -Rachel #17
Love the collaging Linda - great idea to use the phone book like that. The 'fodder' on my collage pages are pre printed collage papers from Clarity Crafts - they can be coloured using inks or left black and white. Meow to the kitties. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW.
Lovely to see what you were working on along with your collage and printing - love it! - Michelle x #16
Such an interesting set of projects to share! I am interested by those circles! Happy WOYWW if belatedly! Susan #5
Oh my a tad behind this week, what’s new! Been contending with a bad back this week, horrendous in the mornings tapering off during the day then the textile retreat starting at 4pm each day has taken over… Anyway better late than never…
Love the collage sheet for your fabric book. I need to make a fabric book and wondering whether to follow the strips binding or another method? Super ribbons and fabrics. There was a session including fabric painting in the retreat and I think you'd love the presenter's work if you don't know them already https://www.ciciandcompany.com/

ooh some fantastic crafting going on and loving the fabrics too. The yellow pages as a glue station is a brilliant idea too!

I still have 100 lessons in Fodder School to do. I should have known my own ideas would get in the way. Oh well. Your collage is lovely. I really like scanning the finished pieces and making use of them in different ways. The circles are cool, I agree - def. something to ad to your Fodder Keeper LOL! Poppy still likes to go out in her playpen, almost no matter the weather. Silly Kitty. Boops to Inky and Mittsy!
Catching up on the later posters from WOYWW day!
