WOYWW #784

It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects!

I don't have much to show this week, as we have been away with no art opportunities. we went up to Northern Ontario, called "The Muskoka's" which is very beautiful and richly forested, with lots of lakes and cottages. We were there for a memorial service for our niece who passed in December, so not a happy event. But the drive through the Muskoka's was incredibly beautiful.

Here is my poor little desk this morning...

I did manage to get one page of my Little June Journal done:

Recognise anything BJ? I used some of BJ's images that she shared a few weeks ago!

I didn't take photos of our trip through the forests, as the car was going so fast, but we did stop at a really nice restaurant in a place called Bancroft, a lovely mining town. By this time we were out of the Muskoka's, but the view was still very nice.

The place was called "The Granite", and was an old mansion left over from when Bancroft was a major mining town. It has a beautiful view of the town so it was probably owned by the owner of a mining company. The food was wonderful!

Last night I went to a Pot-Luck dinner for the choir that I am in, in one of the women's backyards. It was huge and had this beautiful pond in the middle of it!

Beautiful Pond

It was such a lovely backyard, something you could live in all summer long! Oh well, my backyard is so tiny that we never use it.

I hope everyone has a lovely and creative week! Inky and Mittsy are outside keeping an eye out for the fox...she's getting pretty bold these days!

Hi Linda, sounds like the drive was nice just a sad reason for doing it. Big gardens are nice but take some looking after to keep them that way. We have a lot of lawns and it can take hours to cut it all and at the moment it's growsing like mad. Nice fish pond and what a lot of fish too, they must have a big filter to keep it healthy. Sending you best wishes for a very happy woyww. Hugs Angela x11x

Praying for all in your loss, sad... but some beautiful photos to share, lovely views and that really is some garden. I'm blessed that it's a large garden here too but not that fancy.
Happy WOYWW ❤️ and prayer hugs, 🙏🤗 Shaz in Oz.x #6

Sounds like it was a lovely journey even though it was for a sad reason. What a lovely pond.

Sounds like the scenery was magnificent and that pond is teeming with fish! The sad occasion tempered your enjoyment obviously, but still a nice experience.. happy WOYWW. Angela #13

It can be a comfort, when you link remembrance to a lovely restful location. Even if the event was sad, somehow, sometimes, the glory of nature is like a balm, it eases the pain even a little. Love the page, I really liked BJs images as well, such soft pretty colours. And crikey that is a lot of Koi!! Good thing Mittsy and Inky were not in attendance. Oh the carnage! :D
Happy WOYWW!

Yay lovely to see my images in your Little June Journal, love what you did with them. The trip sounds delightful save for the reason for it but I hope the memorial went as well as could be expected. The pond in the garden looks lovely too. Hugs BJ#1
