WOYWW #624

Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

Happy 12 year anniversary!

It has been twelve years since our fearless leader Julia started this wonderful group! I haven't been here since the beginning, but I have been here for several years and have made many new cyber-friends over those years! It has been especially wonderful through the Pandemic to be able to keep in touch with people around the world.

This week I have done absolutely nothing, I haven't even stepped foot into my craft room, so if you want to look at my desk, go to last week's post!

I did some gardening last week, and did something to my leg which is very painful, and keeps me from walking without a very painful limp. It is gradually getting better with rest, but I still have a ways to go. I have no idea what I did. And then the other day I tripped UP the stairs and killed my knee and already injured arm, so I was not it good shape.

BUT...good news...

we are grandparents to a beautiful new baby girl, born on May 17th! Her name is Jasper Jane, and she is adorable. I am very sad that we can't see her yet due to the lockdown here, but soon we hope!

So instead of my desk, how about some fox pics...

Baby foxes playing in the road (about 4pm), and Mama fox having a nap in our backyard!

I didn't get around to making an ATC, but here is a postcard from my city, Kingston Ontario

I don't know when this was taken, but it looks much the same now. This is the park in front of city hall, and behind is a marina for all the boats that come in the summer. The fountain is called Confederation Arch and the park is Confederation Basin. In a "normal" summer the park is full of people, bands playing, special events, quite the hub of downtown activity!

Well, that's it for me today, more resting to get my leg healed, and hopefully back to some sort of normal next week. I look forward to seeing everyone's ATC's!

Have a great week! Mittsy and Inky (who are outside enjoying the beautiful day) say "meow!"

Sorry to read you are having troubles with your knee, leg, and arm right now. Hopefully rest is the answer to the problem. Congratulations on your new grand daughter. I hope you get to visit her soon, too. I can't believe you live so close to nature and the beautiful foxes visit you. I just hope Inky and Mittsy are safe when they go outside. Happy 12th Anniversary from # 10.

Hello Grandma, bet you're really pleased. There seems to be quite a lot of babies being born this year, I would be interested to find out whether there are more than usual. Sorry to hear about the leg and hope it's better soon. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww anniversary, Angela x25x

Hi Linda!

Happy Anniversary AND Happy Birthday NEW Grandma!!
Hope you can SKYPE or ZOOM with the little family. Jasper June will grow up so fast, in the blink of an eye! Wonder what the kitties will make of her?

Stay safe and well. (Wish I had thought to post a picture of our town in lieu of a post card, which I didn't do either...) :(

Happy Wednesday!

Hi Linda, big congratulations! Would be lovely to see a photo of your new granddaughter! We spotted a fox on our back garden the other day as well and my immediate thought was "where's Oreo" and I was so relieved to find him snoozing in the airing cupboard. It was a big fox too, no contest for him in an altercation. I like foxes, but I wouldn't hesitate to hurt them if necessary to protect Oreo. Hopefully, that will never happen. Hope you leg gets better soon. Happy anniversary - your town sounds lovely! xx zsuzsa #17

Congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter, Linda - how exciting! So sorry to hear that you've been in the wars, though - it all sounds very painful, and I hope you recover soon.

Thank you for your visit last week - if you hop over you can see the finished kitty throw! I'm delighted to report that my hubby is absolutely thrilled with it, and the kitties love lying on it, too! Thank you for your good wishes for my hospital appointment which has now been postponed to Monday. Lily and Ruby send hugs to you and Inky and Mittsy.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Congrats on your new status as a Grandmother!! How lovely. It has to be such a struggle when you want to see a new baby and can't - I have more than one friend in that position during the pandemic and it has been a challenge for all of them. Sorry your leg is paining you, and hope you are soon back to fighting fit.

Happy 12th Anniversary to all my desk-hopping mates!

Oh Linda, poor you, am very sorry about your leg, especially to then go and trip up and hurt an older injury too. Yow. You need to make like the cats, find a blob of lovely warm sunshine and sit in it! asleep, rest the limbs I really hope it doesn’t take long till you can at least walk without pain. Love the postcard, how nice that it’s an unchanged view too, can’t say that of the couple of cards I’ve sent. OMgee how wonderful to be a Grandma, congratulations all round, how blissful it will be when you can meet Jasper Jane and start your extra special role, am very excited for you.
