WOYWW #618

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Happy April!! It seems Spring is finally here, we've been having warmer than usual temperatures lately, with lots of sunshine! I can remember Easter Sundays of the past, when Easter came early, there still being a lot of snow outside, and the kids would hunt for their eggs in the snow! I guess Global Warming is at work.

Here is my desk today. I've been working a lot on my BUJO to get caught up for April.

And here are my BUJO pages

I haven't quite finished my gratitude page, and I have 2 more weekly pages to do. Hopefully it will all be done by the time I have to start May!

The Easter Bunny did come to our house, as he always does, kids or no kids! The chocolate pile is much smaller this year, as I am trying to lose my last 25 lbs...but he still gave me my favourites!

We had our deviled eggs on the porch in the sunshine (until we got too chilly!) made by hubby,

then a lovely crock-pot ham with pineapple, scalloped potatoes, and asparagus. I used frozen sliced potatoes for the first time, and it worked perfectly! Will definitely get another big bag of potatoes for the freezer!

So, we have a nice lot of leftovers to enjoy!

Dessert was carrot cake, made from carrots I had shredded a few weeks ago, and that worked out beautifully as well...but very high in calories :-( so only one piece for me and I gave away most of the rest of it.

It was a very nice Easter in spite of the fact that our DD, who usually comes for Easter, wasn't here for yet another year, thanks to the virus.

I think the nicest part of spring, besides the weather, is the sound of birds singing early in the morning when I open my front door. I'm really looking forward to having my coffee outside when it warms up a bit more! There is a Robin who sits in the top of this tree and torments Inky, who is watching it from the upstairs window. Anyone who has cats knows the sound of a cat watching a bird...

Inky had a run-in with Mr Fox yesterday, but she is very fast and scary and Mr Fox had a very surprised look on his face when I came out to shoo him away!

And here is Inky in her favourite spot once again...

And I just remembered I forgot to do an April 1 photo from my office window, so here it is a few days late...

That big dark spot is the cat's hammock, empty at the moment...no leaves yet, but no snow either!

Well, that's it for us, Inky and Mittsy say "meow, watch out for the foxes!" and I say have a great week, stay safe!

The fairy April pages in your Bujo look great Linda. I am sure you will get them all finished in time. Look forward to seeing what theme you come up with for May. Enjoy the chocolate - we managed to see family but no chocolate so the reverse in our house, Meow to Inky and Mittsy and hisss to Mr Fox. Stay safe and happy WOYWWW. Sarah #7

You should have been here yesterday as we had more snow though it didn't stay for long. The weather is all over the place right now. I am always impressed with anyone who keeps journals like this up to date. Your meal looks good and the carrot cake looks really scrummy but the asparagus now I could eat those for ever, love them. The thing we're having to watch out for at the moment are Herons but I'm pleased to say that so far the new scarer seems to be working as they don't like it. Sending big hugs and wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x17x

What a lovely post, Linda! I felt like I was right there with you for Easter!

You are certainly impressing me with your Bujo! You have really taken off and embraced it!

I’d like to be right there with Inky!

Stay safe and well

Happy Wednesday

Luckily I didn't get the snow some parts of the UK did last weekend. (good!) Sounds like you had a great Easter celebration even if your daughter couldn't visit. Hopefully next year.... your dinner certainly looks very enjoyable. Have a good week - and enjoy the chocolate! helen #1

Hi Linda. Goodness - what a lot of work goes into that BUJO. Incredible. Well done. Spring has - and hasn't - arrived here... It was glorious last week, warm when out for walks, sunny right up to Easter Day. Now e are plunged back into winter - even here on the coast we had flurries of snow yesterday! Sounds like Easter was good for you. I am hoping to be allowed over the border next week so will be able to see my daughters for the first time in 6 months. Whoop! Whoop!
Take care. God bless.

Your journal pages are fabulous, Linda, and I love the Celtic script you've chosen for the page headings. Beautiful. What a great Easter spread you had, and I'm glad you were able to be outside for it, just for a while at least. I love the big dish with the eggs on it. The kitties will appreciate the weather warming up a bit, and there's always lots of birdie activity for them to chatter their teeth at, come the spring!

Thank you for your visit - the kitty embellishments are going on thick and fast now, and I've finished adding them to that first strip of squares that I joined together a while back. The only drawback now is that I can't work on it if my hubby is around because it's a lot less generic now, and he's bound to notice all those kitties!

I'm glad you enjoyed my shark carrot and other bits and pieces this week. Ruby is so funny, letting me carry her upstairs on the stairlift like that, and then as soon as we get to the top, she runs downstairs again!

Happy WOYWW,

Love the Crafty Brain Dump page! I so need one of them every day. And OMG the deviled eggs...my hubby adores them and bugs me to make them al the time. Problem is he likes them with LOTS of heat and neither my DD nor I do so it would be two batches or a batch just for him! Not very Spring-y now, ad to say, but an enclosed porch or conservatory would make all the difference....don't have one, so it's inside or huddled under the BBQ hut with the pizza oven going full blast LOL!
Catching up on the last few!

Your pages look great. How awful to have a fox after your kitties. We had snow Easter Monday after a beautiful Easter Sunday. It didn’t stay around though, but it was very cold. Let’s hope the fox doesn’t stay around either. Have a great week Angela #6

Hi Linda, your journals are looking good. I love the wolf. Your Easter feast looked fab.
I forgot to mention Thea’s MRRP to answer your question. It’s my approximation of a sort of greeting noise she makes. It rises in tone and is done closed mouth, unlike her meows.
I hope your two stay safe from the fox. My Thea is such a feisty little cat that I worry about her with foxes and badgers.
Take care

I LOVE layered potato bakes of any kind but I've not heard of frozen slices! Love the fairy lighting the way. Belated visit but still, stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #9

We had poached eggs for breakfast... then devilled eggs later, but our chocolate was limited to mini eggs!
Happy WOYWW!
