WOYWW #494

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Another work week to get in the way of posting and creating! I find I like working nights best because I can get things done during the day, like posting here, playing on my craft room, and replying to comments. For some reason I'm days all week this week. I know some of you will say "why don't you do it in the evening?" I am not an evening person (even though I like to work evenings - weird~). Sorry! I don't get much done in the evenings other than reading and watching TV. So I'm writing this on Tuesday morning before work, and hope I can get to it to post tomorrow morning.

Anyway, I've been working on DD's Christmas gift, and that is what my desk reflects today:

And I made another masterboard for these cards:

using more of my Tim Holtz Christmas cut-out people, and this one I made using an image I had saved many years ago:

using washi tape for bottom and top, and some very cool words I found on a piece of scrapbooking paper in our new stamp store! I'm so excited about our new store, we haven't had anything but Michael's for a few years now.

That's it for us today - we had our first snow last Friday! Here is what Inky thinks of it - nice to look at but don't make me stand in it! She has a nice view from here!

Meow from Inky, Happy Thanksgiving to my US friends, and have a great week to everyone else!

Hi Linda. love all the cards. Great job. We actually had some snow here today- only lasted about half an hour, and it had rained earlier so it didn't stick, but was a bit of a shocker! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz X #5

Hi Linda and meow Inky. The new store sounds interesting. Like the pop of colour on the master board that you used for those cards. Keep warm. Sarah #3

Love the Three Kings card! I am very bad at doing much in the evenings either, apart from also watching TV - those Christmas cards really don't make themselves and I should be doing them right now!! Helen '#1

How exciting to have a new scrapbook store, I hope you find lot of treasures to buy from there! I’m rubbish at evenings, I like to sit with the mister and just browse and watch tv. well done onthe lovely christmas cards, it’ll be another week at least before I make one..I’m going to stay with Jan next week so that’s a write off!

Hi Linda, a new store ... how exciting! You'll have to tell me more before my next trip to Canada! I love the Tim Holtz cut out people, although I'm sure I could scan some old family photos and get the same result lol. It all depends how tired I am when I get gone from work whether I craft in an evening. Most of my crafting is at weekend. Have a lovely week Heather x #9

Happy Thanksgiving Linda, hope you have a super day tomorrow. How lovely to have had some snow, Inky looks like she is wondering what's hiding under it all hee hee!! Your doing great with your CC's, that Three Kings image is fab.
Hope you find some treasures in that new store, especially on Black Friday.
Happy woyww & enjoy Thanksgiving what ever you may be up too.

Gorgeous cards Linda, love them. Love how you've used the Tim Holtz people too. I must say Inky doesn't look as if she intends going very far. Happy woyww, Angela x19x

The evenings I am at home (thee others are out playing with bands) are precious and I like to chill... I still make something while watching tv though, usually crochet or knitting. Sewing is very much a daylight craft. Like the cards you've made especially the Three Kings!

I'm with Inky here - looking rather than venturing out in the snow.
Glad to see you are Christmas card making - I just started last night (or the wee small hours when I couldn't sleep) but didn't get very far. Onwards and upwards as they say.
have a good week and stay safe.

Oooh Linda, snow already! I was surprised to read that Shaz has had some but she is further north than we are and it's so mild where we live that we rarely get any. Last year was an exception though! It was quite dramatic. The kitties were too little to go out at that stage but looked at it totally bemused through the window! I don't blame Inky for staying safe indoors and keeping warm. Lily and Ruby say miaow to her. Love the cards and the cool masterboard - a very different look for Christmas - very refreshing.

Thank you for your visit - the pants saga has moved on, because they obviously took my irate phone call to heart - the second pair arrived on Thursday, when they said they wouldn't be sent out till Friday! The best news is that they do fit, because after my previous experiences with them, I was half-expecting them to be all wrong again! You asked if I could go somewhere else. The trouble is, this is the only firm that does a bespoke service and also home visits, and they use a special unique fabric that really works well. The first pair I had, 3 years ago, was from another firm and they were a standard size and didn't fit properly. They were really uncomfortable so I stopped wearing them, which is no good at all! So they've got me over a barrel unfortunately. Anyway, let's hope the remaining ones come soon.

So glad you like the roses! Unfortunately Penny Duncan has taken down her old Youtube channel and you can no longer access her tutorial on how to make these up but if you are interested, email me and I can send you some instructions. It's one of my favourite flowers to make.

Happy belated WOYWW,
