WOYWW #434

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello from Ontario, where we are having a heat wave!  Leave it to us to have the hottest time of the year so far in the fall. Hopefully it will be over tonight (so they say).

Many thanks to all who commented last week when I couldn't (although I think I returned all the comments!) I'm hoping this week will be better. My job is not going well, I think I will resign tomorrow, it is just physically too demanding for me. I guess at my age I need a mostly sit down job!

Anyway, here is my desk this morning:

I was challenged to make a journal page with what was on my desk at the moment

Below is the finished page from last week. I had a hard time with it, my creative mojo seemed to have left me as exhaustion, sore feet and sore back took over. But it's not terrible. My new page (above) seems a little more uplifting, but that's after 2 days at home. . .

Ever wonder where Inky is when I'm in my stamping room? (I'm sure you do!) Right here, waiting patiently for me to finish so she can follow me to wherever I am going next (and hoping I will open the front door and let her out!) When she is impatient, she let's me know!
By the way, last week, after I posted my blog, I went out to call her one last time, and she came a running!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week, thanks for peeking at my blog!

Hi Linda! So sorry to hear about your job - I totally understand. I've had one of those physically demanding jobs once - literally on my feet 8 hrs+ a day. I did get used to it after a few months, but I couldn't get used to the ruthless company culture, so I left. Now I wonder if I will ever be able to find a suitable job. Inky made me laugh - Oreo does the same thing positioning himself on top of the stairs for you to fall over. Once I almost fell over him in the dark, so now I make sure that the lights are always turned on. All the best, whatever you decide to do about the job situation. zsuzsa #13

Sorry to hear you're not happy in your job. Life is far too short not to be happy. I hope the stress levels reduce soon for you and your creative mojo returns.
Thanks for your interest in what I'm making....it's all still in early stages yet. Once the designing and first few are made I will have a better idea how much they will be so keep an eye on my Sewing by Annie Facebook page for developments.
Hugs,

Sorry to hear about the job... But we need our backs for our future... I got out of nursing after 40 years at the correct time as I felt I could not do it anymore... My back is fine now I have been retired a year... your journal pages are fabulous... wee fur face bless ... mine is the same she spends a lot of time sleeping waiting for me on mt craft room floor to finish... but it's normally food or a treat she is after... Have a happy week ahead and I hope all goes well on the job front... May #19

Oh dear, nothing worse than being discontent at work (not to mention physically exhausted). Any chance they might review your tasks when you do resign?
Maybe a short spell at home will make you feel much better - and renew your spirits. If that first page you showed us is anything to go by you are starting to feel the benefit of rest.
Thanks for visiting my blog - Hugs, Neet 8 xx

Oh what a shame about your job - you are right though. If it's not for you then do something about it - life is too short to suffer! Crafting is what keeps us going so keep at it!! xx Jo

Unhappy in your job can lead to such stress that none of us want at certain times in life. My cat QC is never far from my side. Hope you have a better week. Anickoana #5

Sorry I'm late replying, been crazy few days. I don't think I could go a job that requires standing all day now so I understand where you're coming from. I love the colours of your pages in the first pic, really beautiful. 😍

Love your colourful unfinished journal page. Thanks for the quote as well, will be using that sometime soon. I obviously didn't express myself too well, I'm not really missing my son, I am rather enjoying my freedom! Thanks for the visit BJ#3
