WOYWW #431

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Here we are in September already! And someone told the weather it was FALL!! NO it's NOT! We should still have summer weather for a whole month yet! Oh well, maybe it will come back. . .hope you all still have your summer!

Here is my desk this morning:

Still unmounting my stamps! But look at the progress!

I have had to clear the next shelf for more binders! And look at what I still need to do:

These are the rest of the boxes of mounted stamps.

Here is the pile of stamps I am currently unmounting:
These filled up one of the large boxes!

I have a journal page to show you, I am working from a book called "The Mixed-Media Artist" by Seth Apter (and Seth actually commented on it when I put it my FB group!!). I used his technique on pages 166-117 for this page:

The background technique is 4 layers, and you can just see layer two peeking through - I used an embossing folder on gesso to make the subtle pattern:

This page pairs up with the page I made for Texas:

I suppose next week I will be making a page for Florida  😟

I've asked Inky if she wants to go outside again - she says "it's too cold!" We both hope you have a lovely week with lots of sunshine (and if you do, send some our way please!)

You are making real progress with those stamps; you'll have so much more room once they are all in binders. What are you doing with all the blocks once the stamps have been unmounted? They'd make a great 'wallpaper' if they were all attached to a wall lol. Meow Inky! Happy WOYWW Sarah #19

Hi Linda, It's quite astonishing how much space is freed up by unmounting stamps, isn't it? Looks like the job is going well. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 XxX

Sorry! not much sun here either! Last week was lovely but this week is much cooler and rainy too so can't help I'm afraid. We will just have to stay in and craft! Seth Apter is one of the few designers who regularly leaves a comment when you use his products and it's so nice but not only that I love his stuff too. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great week and a happy woyww, Angela x14x

Don't think we had summer at all apart from a couple of much too hot days! good luck with those stamps (it still makes me weep to see them being unmounted, space saving though it may be!) Seth is just great! he will always comment and he is so lovely, too. Helen #1

I have to agree with Helen it would make me weep to see them all unmounted... I do understand the space it will free up when they are...I only have a few wooden stamps which I kept when I changed over to fabric craft... those are special vintage Christmas scenes that I use for my Christmas tags .. You are doing great preserving with it all... I don't blame wee fur face Inky you stay in the warm sweetheart... Happy WOYWW... May#10

Someone needs to tell the weather it's still summer here too, it's been so cold and wet today, definitely more like autumn. Hopefully the sunshine will return soon. I hope it does for you too.
Love your pages, the colours are gorgeous and the stamps you are unmounting look right up my street. You certainly have plenty to keep you busy though.
Have a good week and thanks for your visit earlier.

You're really coming along with your stamps and boy, do you have a lot of stamps! And it is still summer here with temps in the mid to upper 90s F. We are getting some of the smoke from the fires near Los Angeles so my allergies are horrible today! I won't send this your way....
Thanks for the visit and have a great week!

OOh we have the same script taste and the same old stamp positioner! Gosh you have a lot of wood mounts..mine are on shelves in rough categories...I just know I wouldn't use them if they weren't out. My clear stamps are badly stored in drawers and I don't turn to them nearly as often! Love the journal pages, and am sorry to report that the weather here is distinctly autumnal. Argh.

Such a task you took on you to unmount all your stamps... and what a progress you made! I love the techniques you used on your art journal page - I have the same book (actually, I'm in it) and it's a great book to flip through and get inspired isn't it?! We have grey sky and a bit of rain too so I cannot send you sunshine, but I'll send you a hug, that's warm too... will that do for now? ;) Thanks for visiting my blog the other day, have a nice week. Hello. Phew you've achieved a lot, though you do seem to still have 'a few' to get through :-)Getting quite Autumnal here, not that we've had a great Summer :-( Thanks for popping by. Sorry to be a little late. Anne x #17

Super pages, love the texture and colour. Shame the subject is such a distressing one, Texas and then potentially for Florida too, let alone all the Caribbean Islands which have been devastated by Irma. Thanks for the visit BJ#21
