WOYWW #418

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Another week has flown by! We are once again enjoying a lovely rain free, sunny day, after a few days of rainy weather. The cats are happy!

Here is my desk this morning:

And here are my index cards #51-57

And a journal page this week:

Sometimes, that's all we can do. This is actually a painting of the wife of Napoleon, but her expression is so sad, and the painting is so old there are cracks. Kind of how I'm feeling right now.

AS a US citizen living in Canada (thank goodness) I apologize for Trumps disgraceful behaviour to the mayor of London. He just latches on to things out of context and tweets, and then can't back out of it. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but he's an idiot. 'Nuff said.

OK, on to the garden! I have such a tiny garden compared to the massive gorgous ones I've been seeing on WOYWW, but it's mine, and I'm loving it all!
As someone said last week, how can your garden be "full"? I bow my head and say, of course it's not full! What was I thinking?
And so I have added a favourite flower I have always wanted, a poppy, an Icelandic poppy to be exact. It was so happy to be in my garden that it bloomed for me the next day! (there it is, in the back!)

I have also finished my "Grotto" a little corner garden surrounded by limestone rocks, a shady garden on one side, and sunny enough for roses on the other. Usually I plant impatiens, but last year they didn't grow at all - I thought they would fill in the blanks spots, but they didn't, so this year I planted the impatiens in pots - much better!

and the bushes are just now flowering as well! They are called Deutzia. So behind the rabbit, there are roses.

I also want to show you my "vegetable garden", tucked away on the porch, and beside the perennial garden!

Inky says "hello" although she is rather busy these days chatting with the birds! She had her "champagne" birthday (4 years old on the 4th) on Sunday! That's 26 cat years old!  She's growing so fast!

Thank you so much for peeking at my desk and garden, I appreciate all of you so much! Now I will go and peek at yours! Have a wonderful week!

Hi Linda, I so appreciate the labels on your photos, especially the one about stuff piling up - it happens here all the time! Once again, your index cards are lovely. Rather like ATCs, each one is a little work of art. I chuckled at the question about your garden being full. Every time I buy a new plant my DH says our garden is full up so where is it going to go and I always tell him it won't be a problem - I will find somewhere to put it. Your poppy looks very happy that you found a space for it. Oh, and I have a pot of lettuce very like yours growing in the herb patch. Have a very good week. Elizabeth x #37

How lovely that your poppy bloomed the day after being planted out. I love the index cards especially number 55. I wonder what he's saying to her for that expression? Happy WOYWW Sarah #8

I love the contrast of the blooms being in the metal pots that is very cool looking. and Hubs finally caved on poppies for our garden a few years ago ( he kept telling me they look like weeds lol) so, since mine are blooming right now too I smile every time I drive up the street and see them. ~Stacy #40

Lindy, Tell Inky he has friends in Texas, currently both on lock-down as they avoided the vet's office for nail clipping yesterday by disappearing late in the afternoon! Are you working on icad 2017? I love your index cards they really tell a story.

Happy WOYWW. I always love seeing your Index Cards on Instagram. You are so much better than me at keeping up with challenges - I always give up after a few days! Our cat chats with spiders - she always likes to shout at them around the house. Ali x #29

I'm loving the journal page! No excuses now then not to eat more chocolate :-D. I love your pots of flowers and veg in the garden, I must get on and do the same. Because we've got to have a lot of work done to our garden, I haven't been inspired to do much but it's amazing what you can grow in pots huh?!

What lovely photos this week, Lindart. Your garden is gorgeous. Such a good idea growing the lettuce in a pot. My hubby has put some new herbs in pots for me this week, and set some perpetual spinach seeds for me too. I love to cook from the garden! Inky is quite the young lady now, isn't she! They do like doing that funny chattering at the birds. Beatrice is not very well at the moment and has some new medicine from the vet to keep her guts going. She is still mourning Phoebe. It's so sad.

Love your desk photos too - I used to do annotated photos and must start doing it again! You are like me with the same dirty paint water... I had a jar that lasted about 6 weeks once! It was practically growing mushrooms.

Thank you for your amazing comment - so glad you like my latest project! You are very kind. Something just sparked off in my head and I knew I wanted to do it, and it's coming together amazingly. I did some more today and have just updated my blog again.

Have a great week, and happy belated WOYWW,

Hello, I am late this week and found you have already visited. Love, love, love your index cards. Always lovely to see what you have been creating. Nice to see another desk with yucky water.... we arty types need a good jug of water. Inky and I have something in common I have just celebrated my 26th wedding anniversary and smile when I think of kitty have her 4/26th birthday. No need to apologies for the antics of someone NO One can control. Have a lovely week and keep creating.

Hi Linda! I thought I had visited earlier and just realized that I haven't! Love all your index cards and absolutely ADORE that journal page! Such lovely colours and love the way the image is incorporated. When Oreo first did the chattering thing, we thought there was something wrong with him LOL. Sorry for the late visit! Thanks for popping over to mine! Have a great weekend! Enjoy your little garden! zsuzsa #28

Your index cards are beautiful, I do love your vibrant colours, and I love your journal page too - definitely good advice!
Your garden is looking so pretty and hopefully the poppy will seed itself each year and you'll get them springing up in all sorts of little corners of the garden - they really are such pretty flowers.
Sorry I'm so late getting round, I hope you have a great rest of the week and Happy Gardening!

Sorry I'm late visiting. My internet was down for nearly two days, but when I came back thank you for visiting me while I was offline my internet went down again. I lost the long comment I was trying to publish when I saw I had no connection. I'll try to remember the gist of what I wrote before.

I love how you document everything on your desk. And I love the cat in/cat out sign. Very clever.

I LOVE those index cards. They are out of this world.

As an American living in the US, I am disheartened by all the tweets of the president. I was especially saddened by the way he pushed his way past Montenegrin's Prime Minister to bully his way into the limelight at the NATO summit in Brussels last week. I like that someone called him a rude ignoramus.

Love your gorgeous garden. Wish mine looked half that good. Happy belated WOYWW from #5. Now let's hope this one publishes!

Fabulous post,
Sorry for the delay in commenting, laptop trouble. It's died on me and I'm in a bit of a flap.
On a positive note, my Dear Husband plans to buy a replacement for me.
