WOYWW #404

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

March 1st already!! Here in Southern Ontario it is +8 Celcius, going up to +12C today. Rainy and gloomy. I guess March has come in like a lamb here!

I have done nothing remotely artistic this week, although I have thought about it a lot! I am feeling the need to get these stamps done quickly so that I can re-organize the rest of my room, and get down to creating! I will make an effort this week to finish my #13 journal, though.

Here is my desk at 9:30 this morning:

It actually looks clean! But there is a lot of "random stuff" piling up as you can see!

Looking to the right. . .

My current unmounted stamp page. I am making my own pouches by sewing the sizes that I need.

Looking to the left. . .
Piles of mounted stamps that need unmounting, in piles of like sizes. The are my "Design Elements" stamps that I use a lot in my journaling. You might notice the pink bag on the left that was full to overflowing of plastic baggies last week, and is now empty. When I emptied this bag - I found a cheque for 51.00!! Crazy!

Well, that's it for March 1st. Inky says "Meow-eow-now-meow!" Of course, that is cat talk for "thanks for peeking at my Mom's desk! She's going to look at yours now!". And no, she doesn't have blue eyes!

Any tips for unmounting wooden stamps? I have loads and my son made the comment today how much extra space I would have if I unmounted them all. Happy WOYWW Sarah #24

Isn't it a bonus when you find unexpected money? I've done that when changing my purse(wallet)- I found £40 in a pocket, obviously put there as emergency money, then forgotten about. Your design elements stamps- I have the one with all the little squares on, I love it. Give Inky a head scritch for me,Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XXX

Back again, just seen your question on my blog. I do know Tim said they won't be available as minis- something to do with the ink formulation not working well in minis. But then again, he did say that the 'seasonal' colours would be a short term item, and they ended up being added to the range! So we'll see. Shaz xx

Hi Linda! I started writing a comment earlier, but I'm not sure it went through! Anyway, I was just saying that we have similar weather here, but I guess in your parts of the woods it means spring and for us in the UK it's just same old, same old LOL. I also marvelled at those blue eyes until I read your last sentence LOL - I do that too with Oreo! I guess black cats don't normally have blue eyes. Oreo's are yellow/green. Thanks for popping over just now! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #26

I love your desk.I hadn't thought of taking them off the wood. That would make them easier to use in the stamp tool! I am loving the stories people are sharing with me about paper dolls in their childhoods. Some things are timeless aren't they- like puppets. My college was the old Montessori School training college once, and still had a lot of the original teaching tools.
I have a cat too, and aren't they just such a funny animal. We love our girl too!

Gentle cuddles to Inky from me first of all.
Gosh that is one busy desk. Views all around show that there is evidence of lots going on and I have that stamp to the right of the pink bag. Love it but don't use it enough.
Hugs & Thanks for the visit to mine earlier and the lovely comments on my cards,

This made me laugh - I've thought about crafting too and done absolutely zip, nada, nothing! It's funny how we get the crafting doldrums huh - mine is because my craft room is full of boxes and there's decorating to be done!

So loving your little helper, pets are so distracting and to be honest much nicer than bits of paper Lol! Good luck at getting all those stamps sorted. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x 21

You're not the only one who sometimes thinks about crafting and then gets nothing done. Sometimes late at night after everyone has gone to bed I have some really great ideas and by the time morning comes and I have crafting time - poof! - they've gone and so has my energy.

February went out with a roaring storm last night and high winds here in Michigan. Temperatures have dropped again and now is it snowing! Definitely winter in Michigan lol.

Hope you have a crafty week

I love it when I find money unexpectedly. Our March came in like a lion with thunderstorms and tornadoes. I hope it calms down now. :-) Thank you for stopping by my blog earlier.

Your desk looks a lot like mine does these days. It's so exciting when you find money that you didn't know you had... I hope the check is still good to cash. Blessings!

It really is a big task you started unmounting all your stamps... the work will pay off for sure when you start creating and using them! And wowzah... finding a cheque in your stash... that never happens to me... I advise you spend it on something nice (like uhrm, stamps?! *lol*) Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday, enjoy your week. Love from Holland, Marit #30

ahhh, that is a lot of work. ( I was really bad when I started my unmounting, I just ripped all the rubber off and tossed the info)
*gasp!* I know I know... so now that I have a laminator machine I think I will have to at least stamp them and jot down the mfg info on the sheets before tossing the blocks. a funny true story about those inks the store I picked those up in had them cheaper than the distress inks. ( which really surprised me) Thanks for the earlier visit, ~Stacy #44

Okay, I admit it, I didn't know you could unmount woodblock stamps. I definitely need a tutorial!

Thanks for visiting. Always happy to see a busy desk. that 6x6 space to work is so familiar. Love those pretty blue eyes too. I like to use the clear stamps but I think they are a pain to store. I love having my wood ones displayed and I see them I use them, I hate searching. Enjoy a good weekend.

My word, Lindart, you are being busy wih all your wonderful stamps! So glad you've got a little assistant to help you - Inky is so pretty and has such beautiful blue eyes. Thank you for your lovely comment - I think the new stamp platform will work with the unmounted stamps, if you use the side for clear stamps which are thinner than rubber ones mounted on cling foam. If they don't stick, I'd recommend a dab from one of those glue pens that if you let the glue dry, it behaves like the glue on post-it notes. That would hold them in place. I'm making slow progress and managing to do more without help now, so hopefully it won't be long before I'm being creative again. I'm really excited about my new stash arriving, and this should give me lots of incentive to get going again!

Happy belated WOYWW,
