WOYWW #408

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

I missed last Wednesday - Computer troubles - but I'm back now! Here is my desk this morning:

Finally broke down and bought the Dylusions paints - buy 2 get one free from Michael's! Kept putting this off for some reason, I don't like jumping into the newest fad, which this was last year, now new fads have arrived, and I won't jump into them either  (yet)! But I've used these at my friend Marg's, and I like them, so I will be experimenting with them in my journal.

Looking to my left:

I'm in the middle of unmounting my leaf stamps. I was experimenting with making a video of my process, but had a bunch of problems, so will try again when I get a memory stick for my iPad!

Here is the finished cover of Journal #13, sitting on top of my second box of 100 page protectors that I use for my pouches to store my UMs.

My new journal page:
This page has some texture where I used dimensional paste - the stenciled letters/numbers, and the leaves in the corner. The rest is stamping, on a background of some tissue paper I got at a restaurant in Colonial Williamsburg many years ago! If you look closely you can see "colonial" style script. I also used gelato markers for the edges. The flower heads, and letters have been stamped and cut, and glued onto the page.

Now a word from Inky:

Time to go peek at your desks! Thanks for peeking at mine!

I do love captions on a photo, I find them so entertaining!! Do you use paintbrushes with the Dylusions paints or can you stamp with them? Probably a daft question but I honestly don't know! Inky looks very pleased that the snow has gone 😊
Thanks for visiting and the lovely comment!

I love the Spring journal pages, such a pretty, fresh green. I agree with not jumping in with the latest fad - I'm resisting the new Oxide distress inks at the moment, although they do look interesting!
Good luck with unmounting all your stamps, I always do that with mine as it saves so much space in storage, my husband keeps the wooden blocks in his shed as neither of us can bear to throw them away - so they clutter up his area and not mine!!
Have a great week, and thanks for the visit to mine earlier,

Enjoy your paints, it's hard to know what to buy sometimes isn't it? There are so many new things coming onto the market all the time. The Dylusion paints seem to be lovely and vibrant. I'll look forward to see them in action on your journals.
What a relief spring is finally knocking on the door. Can't wait for the warmer weather so I'm glad Inky is happy about it too!!
Thanks for popping by already.

I so enjoy reading the labels on your photos - takes the guessing out of looking :) It makes sound sense to wait awhile ... lets the urge to by the latest and greatest new thing fade away, thereby saving an awful lot of money. I'm with Inky - no snow is good news :) Have a great week. Elizabeth x #26

Bet your Inky's happy now the snow's gone. We've had rain instead but guess that's to be expected. You look like you're going to be very busy and I'm wondering what you have planned for those pieces of wood. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a great woyww and lovely week too, Angela x11x

What a lovely post, Lindart! I so enjoyed reading it. I love your annotated photos - I used to do this quite a bit - esp. the "piles of stuff" one lol lol!! I got the Dylusions paints and love them - haven't used them for a while though. I go through phases with my stuff. I've got the latest fad on order - Distress Oxides!! and as you have seen, been busy experimenting with another latest fad - Infusions! I have kept my wood blocks from unmounting stamps too and have made ink blenders with them, glueing on a square of cut-n-dry foam. They work a treat. Lovely to see Inky enjoying the absence of snow! Pretty kitty! Thank you for your lovely comment - so glad you like my samples. I really love that Ryn stamp with the water droplets too. Phoebe seems to be going along OK but the vet says she's definitely got a growth but we'll keep her going a long as possible - quality of life is the thing and that's one thing our 2 girlies have in spades!!

Happy belated WOYWW,

I am grinning because, it was snowing here this morning. so, I totally get how happy your kitty is.
The detailing on no line coloring is "easier" for simple things like blooms and leaves and or cartoon styled animals for me right now. the boots I picked out were highly detailed ones. ( and my patience level with drying times is not very long either) ~Stacy #34

If Inky were a dog, the tail would be going big time! The Dylusions paints are scrummy; I broke earlier this year too. Sounds like there was a good deal on in Michael's though. Sarah #13

Before I forget, the TH stamps on my blog are new which is why you probably haven't seen them before.
The Dylusion paints last for ever, and they dry so quickly on your pages - love using them.
I have unmounted lots of my stamps but some (Magenta and some others) I have left in case they increase in value and I want to sell them later.
Great journal page and fab photos of Inky.
Happy WOYWW.

Super cute kitty. I hear the delusion paints are great and there is a lot of sense in not rushing to buy the new fad. Let everyone else review the product before we spend our hard earned money :)

Yes, I agree with you about not rushing out for the latest products. I've seen some reviews of the new Distress Oxides and the look interesting, but not interesting enough to rush out for :) I dare say I will get a few, but there's no hurry.
Your kitty is so cute!
