WOYWW #406

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

It's the Ides of March today! Not so good for Caesar, but good for my Mom and Step-Father, they got married today, twenty some-odd years ago! Happy Anniversary to them!

Here is my desk this morning:
Flowers was a biggie, I have lots of flower stamps!

And I found the perfect binder for them!
It is covered in this beautiful flower fabric!

I have finished Journal #13, and now I'm working on the cover. It is a soft cover, so I thought Acrylic paint would work well!

Here are the last few pages of Journal #13:

This was my background using Distress Stains - I was experimenting because I had not really used them before:
I hated it! I really didn't think I would be able to recover. But here is the finished page:
I used stencils, stamps, a filmstrip die, and an old ATC!

And here is the last page of journal #13:
I just used what was hanging around my desk at the time (I often do that!), so the stencil, the border stamps and the balloon stamp. I printed the quote out myself, and used a scrapbook page from a Tim Holtz paper pad.

I have started Journal #14, here is my first page - my Muse for this journal!
Lots of different stamps: Lost Coast (Typewriter Girl), Tim Holtz wings, Meer Image legs, and a sunflower stamp (unknown). You might also notice the stencil I used for the background is the same on I used for the cover of Journal #13 - it was lying around so I used it! I have a set of typewriter letters - perfect!

Oh, and I found a new home for my binders, much easier to get to now!

Inky was crying to go outside this morning. . .

We had a snowstorm last night - hopefully the last one - Spring starts on Monday! Yay!

Thanks for joining me today! Now I'm off to see what's happening in your part of the world!

Poor inky. My cats send her their condolences. They do not like cold weather. Using what is on ones desk for a journal is a fun finish. Binders are one of my favorite ways to journal as i hate that middle of the page in a sewn in journal especially when you have completed several pages.

WOW so productive. Love how your distress stain page worked out, well recovered I must say. Love how you use what lying around too, often the best way I think. I have various bits and bobs pots I dip into for such occasions. Brrrr to the snow although it always looks lovely, don't think you cat thought so!. Thanks for the visit, BJ#9

Happy WOYWW. What an amazing collection of journals. Gives me a lot of inspiration to actually get on and do some more journaling. Our cat, Milky, has probably never seen snow - well, not much anyway. We have had none this winter. Global warming has definitely changed the climate in our small part of the world. Ali x #27

Goodness me - you've been manically busy! So much achieved. Well done. I think you have had more snow in one snowfall than we have seen all winter - it just hasn't hung around even on the tops. Thanks for the visit and comments. Yes, it's exciting to see daughter number 1's knitting - considering that when I taught her she declared that she was NEVER, EVER going to knit again in her whole life!!
Take care. God bless.

That's interesting about your cat not liking the cold. We've been skiing in France and there was lots of snow but I don't remember seeing any cats at all maybe they are all tucked up in their homes Lol! Thanks for the visit to mine and happy crafty woyww, Angela x19x

Oh Linda that weather! Ugh! But consolation to be found in that floral binder, it's beautiful! I think the 'recover' page is a triumph!

Fab pages - the recovery pages are great and I love the black stripes and film strip, they really bring it all together. I also love your storage folder, that looks like a great system - my stamps are currently stuffed into drawers - not easy to browse through at all!
I don't envy you the cold, but the snow certainly looks pretty! Hope you have a great week and things warm up for you,

It's always so exciting to finish a journal and start a new one... the end of a journey and the start of a new one. I am very impressed at your commitment to organize all your stamps, especially with the gigantic amount of stamps you have. You and Inky stay warm and blessings!

Brr... that does look chilly. I don't blame Inky for staying in.

My cats weren't impressed with our weather this past week, but not snow - rain. Just as we thought spring had arrived. Love your desk that's what I call very interesting. Anickoana#6

Poor Inky, having to brave the snow! We hardly ever get snow here but our kitties don't like it. You are getting very organised with your stamps now! Love your pages too. Thank you for your lovely comment and I am actually looking forward to getting my own breakfast again but I'm not rushing that one just yet! So glad you like my Zentangles and other stuff this week.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Wow, look at your snow, my daughter would love that although I much prefer the springlike weather we have enjoyed this week. Hope it warms up for you soon. What a treat to see your journals, it was so interesting to see how your stain experiment turned into such a fab page, really gives me some inspiration at the start of my journal journey.
Thanks for visiting earlier

I absolutely adore the ink stain finished page. I must admit that i have only been art journaling for seven months. I do have four different journals on the go, but I haven't finished one yet. Thanks for the inspiration. Sarah #25
