WOYWW #866

It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Warning: Long post!

Happy New Year everyone! Inky, Mittsy and I hope you all have the best creative times in 2026 !

Well, I missed two weeks with traveling, and hosting etc. Christmas fell on an awkward day this year! But here we are, in a brand new year, all kinds of projects ahead of us. To be able to do those projects I need room on my desk. I was, once again, down to a teeny space to work on, so (as I seem to do every January) I re-organized my desk. It really was a mess! I started on Monday...

and got rid of my big lazy susan storage units which just seemed to take up space, and just used the lazy susan trays with cups and glasses. I bought a make-up lazy susan that was double tiered which fit nicely, and put all my glues on it.

Tuesday: I worked on my markers and paint pens, and tried to get things I actually used a lot closer to me. I wanted to get everything off of my wooden work space.

Wednesday: all done! I will probably tweak it here and there, but so far I like it.

And finally it looks like this:

Woo hoo! I hope I can keep it like this! The glue book in the back is a telephone book, not good for much anymore, so I use it as extra paper for gluing on, and testing markers, etc.

Next, some pages in my journal, which is almost finished. I need to make a new one!

I showed Jasper how to do a Gelli Print. First she drew on the gelliplate with Posca Paint pens, then we put the paint on top, and pulled the print. I don't think she was that impressed...maybe next time! I liked it though. It is the first drawing of something recognizable that I have seen her do, though obviously she is drawing a lot now!

It was my birthday on the 1st, and my DD gave me a lovely gift of stickers, rub-ons, and Mulberry Paper. The gift came wrapped in the paper that I used as a background to the girl beside the Santa, so pretty! And it was tied with a kind of rolled paper rope. they make the ends into a beautiful flower!

so cool! I hope I can use it on a journal page!

And here are some birds I finished off yesterday:

We had a visitor for the past week, I opened the door one morning and it was standing there looking at me! Henrietta the neighborhood wild turkey:

She decided to stay quite awhile,  but I haven't seen her yet today, so maybe she's moved on. Of course the cats were quite concerned...

I will leave you with this photo of Jasper and her Christmas dessert!

Happy new year! Have a wonderful week!
