It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Hello! It's a beautiful, but still below 0° day! I know it will eventually get warmer, we even had snow yesterday! Here is my desk this morning:

I am in the midst of making lots of hands of different colours, then I will decorate them. A bit of experimenting with watercolour and Brilliance ink pads.

Here are the Russian Dolls from last week:

And I used one on my journal page

My 20th Journal is now completed!

I started it in the fall of 2023!

Here are the last 2 pages:

This one is actually the last page, I used some transparencies I had hanging around, and some collage pictures from "Earth Witch to Cut and Collage" book. I may still add to the page on the right...

And this is a completed page I started at the beginning of March, but just finished.

I have my 21st journal just started, a little smaller than this one, I already think I won't like the size!

That's it for me, Inky and Mittsy (and me!) still waiting patiently for warmer weather! Have a wonderful week,

It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Hello! What a beautiful morning here in Southern Ontario! The sun is shining, there was a Blue Jay at the feeder, and Inky went outside for a little while! Mittsy did too, but turned right around and came back inside. 0°C is still too cold! Almost all the snow is gone, and the tempertature is rising during the day...Spring is on it's way!

Here is my desk this morning. I was as surprised as you this morning when I saw it!

I don't know what has gotten into me! I haven't been able to do much this week, my doctor has me on bed rest due to an asthma flare up, but I did do a few things. I wanted a stencil of a Russian Doll, the kind that fit inside each other, so I made one. This doll was my first one:

I liked her so much I thought I would make up a bunch of them:

And here is where they are now:

waiting to be finished. They each have their own personality! I may continue and make a few smaller and smaller ones!

Hopefully I can finish them by next week.

Well that's is for me, short and sweet! I hope everyone has a wonderful week! Inky and Mittsy are so looking forward to warmer days!

Hello! It's so nice to have Spring creeping in, but I'm sure we are still in for one last blizzard. The birds are starting to come back to the feeder, I saw a bunny, the squirrels are froliking, we are slowly getting there!

Here is my desk this morning. I liked the Shakespeare insert so much from last week I decided to make a template for it, and make one myself. It is in the works on my desk, dragonfly themed.

And I did 2 journal pages this week, one in my Fodder School fabric book:

and one in my JIYA Journal - almost finished! On this page I discovered the meaning of the word Merkaba...

The Merkaba is the geometric symbol that surrounds the image, representing the union of body, spirit and light.

Well, that's it for me! Looking forward to a nice lunch with a couple of friends, and more sunshine!

Have a wonderful week, Inky and Mittsy say "meow!"

It's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! We are now sharing through Sarah, at Sarah's Craft Shed.

Hello! I have been working in my new and improved art room, it so nice! Just a few minor fixes.

Here is my desk this morning. I have been very good at putting things away!

Here is what I have been working on this week (and some from last week).

Last week first:

I found this gorgeous shrine when I was cleaning my room, it was made by Christine Palmer many years ago. I had to use it! And I have had that pointy hand for years and years...good thing I didn't toss it!

I wanted to finish my Donna Downey journal that I started many years ago, and I had just bought a Collage Soup book, and I had again, found this "house" I had made many years ago and decided it needed to be used. So this page started with the house. The butterflies were added to the house.

And here is what I worked on this week: This is the DDowney journal - I'm sure some of you even have this one!

These are my last pages. I used some Collage Soup images here as well.

And it's all done!

I also did a couple of pages in my fabric book for Fodder School 1

and a page in my tiny journal (about 3" tall)

And I finished making my new JIYA Journal, which is a bit smaller than my previous two, and has all white pages

Well, that's it for me, as you can see, I had to make up for the month I was not making anything!

I hope everyone has a wonderful creative week, Inky and Mittsy are so excited for Spring to finally come this month!
