WOYWW #627

Another Wednesday, time for a peek at each other's desks and projects! If you would like to learn more, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html. Maybe you could join our little group!

Hello everyone!  I hope you are enjoying beautiful June days as we are! In spite of continuing computer problems, I am finally able to get this blog done. I have been in my craft room this week, mostly working on a journal and a Quote Book I started several years ago. It's an ABC Quote Book, and I am on "J" right now, just having finished "I" the other day.

So here is my desk this morning:

You can see my Quote Book sticking out from under the box!

 Here is the "I" page:

It's a long book made from handmade paper. When I went to edit it, I noticed, to my shock, that I had left the "h" out of Pathway! I added it in in editing, but I must have looked at that page a hundred times and not noticed it until I took a picture of it! So I will fix it today.

The next two pages are in a little square journal with lined pages that I started years ago as well. The images in this first one are from a Jane Davenport paper pad.

This one already had the blue left hand corner painted when I got to it, I must have been using up extra paint. I just added collage pieces from my stash.

And here is my favourite part of my garden that I call my "grotto" . Can you find Mittsy? She loves it in there!

Anyway, that's it for me, Inky and Mittsy say "meow", and I say have a lovely week!

Oh, yeah, I can Mittsy's little paws - I didn't until you pointed out that she was in there somewhere - it's lovely to see nature come back to full life now. Super pages - good that mixed media is so forgiving - you can just squeeze an 'h' in there - no one would know! It will look all funky and whimsy! Happy WOYWW! xx zsuzsa #28 ps.I don't think the link to your post works - I came through the previous week's link!

Zsuzsa and I had the same idea. That's how I found you, too. I thought it might be Firefox denying your page, but I see I'm not alone in this.

You have created the most amazing journal pages. Great editing, too.

I had to enlarge the photo, but I saw her paws covered in "snow." Happy WOYWW from # 3.

Adding the smaller *h* makes your page extra special Linda, what a great idea for a quote book, loving the shape too. Looks like Mittsy found the perfect hiding spot, cool and shady and looks so pretty too. I hope your computer continues to behave.. Happy WoywW Tracey #13 x

How infuriating about the H but you rectified it really well! I like the idea of a quotes book, there’s always something interesting to see on your desk!

I love your pages, Linda, and I have to confess to not noticing you'd left the "h" out of "pathway"! All too easy to make a mistake like that when you are working hard on the design, isn't it. Your correction is perfect and doesn't spoil the overall effect at all. I was feeling a bit disappointed not to see either Inky or Mittsy this week, till you pointed out that if we looked closely, we could see Mittsy! Cute little paws just showing! Give them a cuddle from me. Sorry to hear about your continuing computer woes. It's only when things go wrong that we realise just how much we take technology for granted these days and how dependent we are on it.

Thank you for your visit and all your kind thoughts. Yes, in good spirits! No point worrying. We won't know anything more till after the MRI scan next Wednesday. I have a multi-function cooking thingie and use it almost exclusively as a pressure cooker, but I should perhaps try doing sweet potatoes in it as an air fryer - haven't tried that. I haven't had a great deal of success with air frying.

Nice to know that Mittsy is a glooper, too. Our old Beatrice was Glooper in Chief, and Lily is very adequately following in her paw-steps. If I try to tickle her tummy she usually runs off, though!

I was hoping to do a big batch of cooking today but after making our wraps for supper I was too tired and had to rest. I shall have to cook tomorrow or the freezer will be complaining at me again! It has a voracious appetite!

What a brilliant idea - your alphabet journal! And very typical you did not notice the omission of the "I" until you took the photograph - I love how you have fixed it though. Hope you have a good week. Love to you from Debbie xXx
