WOYWW #600!!!

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

This isn't just any Wednesday, it's our 600th Wednesday! How awesome is that! Happy New Year to all who follow and/or contribute to WOYWW!
And MANY thanks to the BRILLIANT Julia, our Queen and Hostess!

As was Dec 1st yesterday, here is the view from my window. I'm trying to take a photo the 1st of every month from this window...

And here is my desk this morning:
"What a nice, tidy desk!" you may be thinking...think again! This was my desk on Sunday afternoon:

and to my left...

But Sunday is my "Tidy the craft room day" and some Sundays it actually gets done...this was one of those Sundays!

All ready to get messy again!

Here are my cards and a couple of tags I made  this week:

Stamper's Anon words, snowflake die (?)

these stamps are unknown

Hero Arts stamp, Tim Holtz Christmas People, Branches:

Sizzix 661597 Thinlits Die Set, Holiday Greens

I always have 5 framed cards in my downstairs Powder Room, that I try and change seasonally. Sometimes the cards are mine, often they are from friends. This year I added a few of my own, one from last year, and these two:

I love this stamp from Unity, the background paper is Stampin' Up

The holly stamp is Stampa Rosa, and the Season's Greetings is Stampers Anon

Don't cards look awesome framed!

So that's it for me, I'm having a very hard time letting go of my cards, I've made 34 cards this year, all different. My local craft store wants me to sell some in their Market as well. I think I will make a little booklet of the cards to remember them...

I'm looking forward to Saturday, to our Zoom meeting! I will attempt to corral Inky and Mittsy in my craft room so you can meet them

but I can't guarantee anything!
Looking forward to meeting all of you! Have a great week!
I will leave you with a little photo of a squirrel enjoying the pumpkins I left out for them...I wonder how long it will be before the pumpkins are gone? (the raccoons will probably help)

Hi, Linda!

You’ve had a busy week, with lots to show for it. It is hard to send your “favorite “ cards. (I have a few from each year tucked away and pictures available since I participate in two Christmas card groups). I should send or donate them, really, but haven’t gotten there yet!

Wish I could show something tidy.....I think I have lost the battle! Our kitties do not get to come into my craft room as they do not have any manners. (Although, they couldn’t make it much worse! But one girl sharpened her claws on my good chair so she was banished for life!)

Hope to “meet” you on the Zoom call.

Stay safe and well.

Happy 600!

Kathryn

You've certainly been very busy! I don't blame you for not wanting to let go of those cards - unless I make something specifically for somebody, I find it almost impossible to part with my creations - they're like my babies! I gave away a canvas once in my early days because someone was admiring it and I thought 'oh, what the heck, I can make another one' but I've never been able to remake it and I still mourn it LOL! That person probably threw it away by now! It's not the actual piece that I miss, but the feelings that I put in it! It's so hard to explain, but even now when I look through my LifeBook and Journals, I remember the joy I felt working on those pages every time I touch them! So I understand how you feel! Look forward to seeing you on Zoom - and Inky and Mitsy as well. We'll see if Oreo is up to making an appearance! Happy #600! xx zsuzsa

Linda, I laughed at your picture art room comparisons! I believe we all go through those phases don't we, however, much to my chagrin probably more of your second photo than the first! LOLOL Love your Christmas cards! They are so cute! And I always love a good tag, especially when they have the vintage vibe! I was reading your comments and I agree with Zsuzsa about the "letting go" of the card stash! I know exactly what she means and also have a hard time letting go of things. I don't create for monetary reasons, it's just sheer pleasure and gifting, so I make things KNOWING they will be given away. I think making that argument with myself upfront is helpful!! I do, however, take pictures of everything as a memory for myself, if you will! Love the shot with the squirrel.....he looks like he is thoroughly enjoying himself and thankful you were willing to share! LOL Blessings for the rest of your week! :)

What an abundance of wonderful stuff this week. I love the cards but I am so very taken with those tags. They just speak to me! And I loved peeking behind the curtain, as they say to the real mess behind the tidy desk. Have a wonderful crafty week,

Happy 600th WOYWW!

Hi Linda. Not just any week, indeed! Happy 600th!! You have certainly been busy there in your craft room. All that tidiness awaiting the next project! My desk has seen absolutely no craftiness all week. Been sitting on the settee knitting instead. However, today it is covered in notebook, pen, song folders and Bible as I am attempting to put together some devotion themes for nearer Christmas. Keep getting distracted as I look on youtube for the songs I want, then playing some from down the right hand side of the page... So, still plenty to do before sending it all off to the leaders!
I love that let it snow card! Great fun. And the two framed ones are lovely. A great idea.
I wouldn't have thought of putting out a pumpkin for the wildlife - but then, I only have birds and the occasional hedgehog in my garden.
Take care. God bless.

Your projects are awesome! I try to clean my studio after each project for almost two weeks that was impossible.

I like your messy desk! It is justified by the beautiful art you produce!

I enjoyed how your desk morphed from clean and tidy to busy, back to clean and tidy. Loved the shot of the squirrel with the pumpkin. Happy 600th from #6.

Thank you so so much for the fab card...the bell jar that I covet! It as really kind of you to take the time, I love it. That picture through the window shows that you’ve got outdoor decorating started, how exciting! You’re so right about the cards in frames, they look even more awesome....if I had a downstairs powder room it might be something else I have to copy...watch this space!!

Hi Linda, you got me - first thought was, wow what a wonderfully tidy desk, and then I scrolled down to the second pic. It is good to tidy away, I always feel ready to craft and make it messy again when I am faced with a tidy desk. I can't pick a favourite out of the Christmas cards, I like them all, even though they are totally different. I love the idea of framed cards (mental note to borrow that idea). I have plenty of wall space in my craft room- and that is the only space spare! The squirrel pic made me smile. I've been watching the squirrels play all summer in our garden, whilst I've been working from home. They don't appear quite as much now, but one intrepid one still ventures down for nuts. Happy 600th WOYWW and I hope to catch up with you on Saturday. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #25

Your room looks extremely busy, which means that you must have been busy too! Great cards and tags, I would love to be more organised, but space is a problem for me! If I had more space I guess I would fill that too!
Happy WOYWW 600 and Stay safe!

It doesn't take long to go from tidy to messy, does it Linda!! I just wish the reverse was true. My studio is now at almost the point of no return mess-wise and I'm finding it hard to get in there, literally! It needs a serious, serious tidying blitz.

Lovely cards!

Hope you manage to involve Inky and Mittsy in the Zoom session on Saturday. I shall try and get Lily and Ruby to co-operate too. At least the new furniture is an attraction at the moment, and I will be joining in from that room.

Happy WOYWW 600,

What a great idea for adding art to the powder room Linda. I may have to steal that idea as I have lots of cards that I can't throw out that I've sent to family or received from friends. Meow to Inky and Mittsy. Stay safe and happy 600th WOYWW. Sarah #5
