WOYWW #585

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is well, we are slowly getting back to normal here as far as health goes, thankfully! Here is hubby coming back from a doctor's appointment! He can drive now! Yay!

So things are improving! But he's getting all his beautiful covid hair cut next week. :-(

Here is my desk:

I'm trying another envelope journal, this one is pretty tiny. I fell in love with my last envelope journal that I thought I would be able to sell, but now I can't bear to let it go. So I'm trying again, and will try to not put quite so much of "myself" in it. This one is smaller as well, and quicker to make.

My latest journal (the one I can't sell!):

I gave you some sneak peeks last week, and now it's quite different. I tried sewing around the pages, but my machine just keeps jamming so I gave up.

That's it! I'll show the new one next week.

I will leave you with this poster, but I don't know who made it, I just like it!

Inky and Mittsy say "meow", and I say "have a great week!"

I love your envelope journal! I recognise many of the TH elements I also have. By definition, we pour our hearts into these creations, so no wonder you can't part from it! I don't think I could sell any of my stuff - I sometimes even find it difficult to give away things that I made specifically for someone else unless I have another one to keep. Or perhaps I'm just selfish LOL. Good to see your hubby's back on his feet and able to drive again - I would be lost if mine couldn't drive as I don't drive much myself. I can, I just avoid it as much as possible! Hugs to you and the kitties! zsuzsa #21

beautiful journal, no wonder you don't want to part with it. Have fun creating another. I had to shave my hubbys hair last week as he was getting too hot and his hair goes curly when it is long. Have a lovely week. soojay#22

Wonderful envelope journal! I am leaving my first haircut till September. I have quite enjoyed the longer hair because I can pin it up. It isn't however the greatest look for me so I will have to sort it soon. Had my nails painted today though! Another little step towards normal. Happy WOYWW, stay well, safe, Cindy #21

I can well understand why you find it difficult to let the journals go. People keeping asking me why I don't sell my cards and Mixed Media work but it's difficult to let them go, they are kind of part of you I think. Wishing you a happy woyww and a lovely creative week. Angela x14x

So glad your hubby is making such good progress, Linda - and it's always a good step forward when given permission to drive again! Well done. Your album is absolutely stunning... So much work gone into it! It made me hanker after making books again. I need to finish a big one I started several years ago, all about my dad, which is on my UFO list! I love making books.

Thank you for your visit, and I'm glad you liked the blouse - it is my favourite because the embroidery is so lovely. I managed to restrain myself and not pull poor Ruby's tail lol! Nice to think that Inky likes the top of her cat tree, too. I expect you have to be careful where you walk if you get up at night, so you don't accidentally tread on Mittsy! Do give the lentil flatbreads a try, and let me know what you think of them! Lentils are real superfoods and I'm not surprised they're "free" on WW. My hubby is doing Slimming World and it's the same there I think. I have to do a weekly meal chart for him so the leader of the group can see what he's eating, and she often asks me for recipes!! He's not following any of their recipes or counting points or anything, but just eating what I give him and the weight is falling off - she is very pleased with him and he's won Slimmer of the Week twice now! We are having more of the courgette (zucchini) flatbreads with our curried parsnip soup for supper tonight.

Have a great week and give the kitties a stroke from me!
Happy belated WOYWW,

Oh what a lot of work has gone into that journal. Not at all surprised you cannot part with it. Love the little ballet dancer, she really is a lovely little surprise popping out of her pocket. When I think of all the hours I put into making something I would end up being paid peanuts if i sold my work so I don't. I used to do cake icing and make wedding cakes with pastillage (hand made) flowers decorating them but in the end I gave up. I was working for 10p per hour.
Good to see hubby is improving so much.
Hugs, Neet 7 xx

Wow, thats a beautiful little journal, can totally see why you can’t part with it. The pressed flower alone makes it too personal, and hasn’t it preserved well! You really are a very prolific maker, it would take me a couple weeks to get that together! AM a little bit delighted to see that your scrap bowl is full..bet it isn’t next week when you’ve made another journal and used them all!

I can see why you don't want to sell that journal, it's personal and GORGEOUS!!! I, too, have difficulties selling my art -it's either too personal or - if not - I don't like it much. Oh well, I stick to teaching workshops every now and then... Glad both your health is emproving, have a great Sunday and stay safe! Love from Holland, Marit #8
