WOYWW #584

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello all! I totally missed last week's post, I think I realized it sometime on Thursday...oh well, so today I'm starting writing my post on Monday, hoping it will be done by Tuesday so I can post on Wednesday. I have realized that I just can't do my posts on Wednesday since I have to be out of the house by 10:15 am, there's just no time. And since  my Cloud is acting up again, my photos aren't showing up. Again.  Anyway, here goes.

My desk today (actually yesterday...)

The zipper pull is for my Mother of the Bride dress that I bought, not realizing until I got home that I couldn't actually do the zipper by myself, and what that would mean! I found this blingy wrist strap at Micheal's, and the wheels started turning...success!

I'm still working on the new journal that ha an envelope as a cover. Here are a few pages:

Almost done!

Update on Hubby:

He is finally, after a month in bed, able to get up and get back to normal (such as it is). His poor little legs have lost a lot of weight and muscle so he will have to build that up again, and get his new knees working properly. It was such an awful setback (the infection), it took a lot out of both of us, but things are looking up.

Garden:

My first (and maybe last!) tomato from my tomato plant.

And finally, here's Inky

and Mittsy,

wishing you all a wonderful week, as do I. We have doctor's appointments today and tomorrow, so I probably won't be able to get back to you until Friday...

or two...

Sorry to hear hubby is still recovering from that nasty infection, but at least he is on the right side now and I am sure he will get there much quicker now he can get up a bit.
Love the journal, gorgeous shades, and what a delightful photo of one of your cats.
Take care, the two of you

Hi, Linda!
So happy that hubby is doing better! Don't let him push it and try to do too much! (I think men are wired that way!) Mine is doing better. Reduced down to a small ace bandage around just the knee now. Originally started with his whole leg wrapped. But finally on the mend too but he didn't have an infection to boot!

Still loving your journal! And the kitties! They sure look like they own the place!

Stay well
Happy Wednesday!

My word Linda, what a long haul its been for you both, am so pleased to read that he’s fit enough to at least get out of bed and remind his legs why he got new knees! Wishing you both patience and resilience as he recuperates and re-strengthens. Brilliant I say brilliant idea for the zipper pull, what a neat way to solve a problem. We are going to see you in this Mother of the Bride outfit aren't we? I’m excited now! The journal looks great - and hows this for a laugh - when I first looked at the photo, I thought your book for small bits and pieces had shrunk considerably, I thought blimey, you’re working on a miniature. Then I focussed and realised it was the ball f string! Really you shouldn’t worry about visiting if new knees and other commitments keep you busy, WOYWW is not supposed to induce stress!

Hi Linda, thats such good news about Hubby, he'll be surprised how weak and tired he feels after all that, but he'll get there. Journal looking great, as are the garden pics. Stay safe, have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X

I love the look of that beautiful journal, Linda! I just love those muted subtle colours and there seems to be a nice lot of texture too. It's awful that your poor hubby has been so ill, but I'm very glad to hear he's on the mend at last. Once he starts moving around it will be amazing how quickly his strength will return. When I came out of hospital a year ago I could only shuffle a few paces with a frame (walker) but within a couple of days my mobility was approaching my normal (not brilliant!) level again. The nurses said the longer I stayed in hospital, the longer it would take, and they were right - moving around at home did the trick.

Your wonderful bulbous tomato made me smile! It looks absolutely bursting with flavour!

Lovely to see dear little Inky and Mittsy again - Lily and Ruby send purrs. They went to the vet today for their annual check-up and inoculations. All is well!

Happy belated WOYWW,
