WOYWW #577

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Thank you to everyone who sent best wishes for my hubby's recovery from surgery. He had a double knee replacement (ouch!).  I do not envy his recovery! He is still in hospital where he can do physio until he can come home, which we will know by Thursday.

I did manage to get back to everyone who posted on my blog last week, better late than never!

I wanted to share my finished journal via a slideshow, but darned if I can figure out how to do that without downloading a bunch of new software. My Picasa apparently isn't working because they shut it down in 2016, even though it is still included with the computer. Go figure.

My desk is exactly as it was last week, so I will share my journal (that was supposed to be a slideshow) with you.

It will be a long post, but here is the journal, get a cuppa (as they say), settle in, and I hope you can hang in for the whole thing!

If you got this far, good for you! And thanks for looking! I hope you didn't get too confused!

Have a great week, Inky and Mittsy say "meow"!

Hi Linda. Phew!!! However long did it take you to make that book??? It must have been weeks. So many different ways of adding to it, putting in important things. I'm somewhat overwhelmed. Well done.
Trust hubby isn't finding the pain level too bad following his double knee op. I know that John initially found the knees more painful than the hip - but, oh, the bliss and lack of pain that happened very shortly. His first knee op was in 1977 - his physio?? Bouncing a baby on his leg!!! His second knee (the other one) was in 1991, followed in 1993 with a hip and in 1995 they all walked up Snowdon! Every blessing to your hubby.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Wow, that journal is amazing, so many beautiful pages with wonderful detail - it must have taken you ages! I'm amazed they did both knees at the same time, that'll make your husband's recovery take a long while. I hope he's soon home from hospital, recovery is always much better at home!

That is truly awesome Linda, I would love to be able to see it IRL. Must have taken ages!! Some of your little 'quotes' had me laughing out loud. I don't think I would ever have the stamina or the imagination to make something like this. Love it. Stay safe, stay well, happy woyww Cindy #11

Super pages! I really like that vintage feel and I spotted my favourite Tim Holtz embossing folder as well. I use Windows Moviemaker for my slideshows - I think you have to download it separately but it's free. Might be worth a try - these photos would make a great slideshow! Hope you're having a good week! xx zsuzsa #24

Hi Linda, sorry for the late visit. You should have your husband home by now, I hope he recovers well from his surgery. That does sound painful! Your journal is fantastic, but what a labour of love. I laughed at the Trump v. Trudeau comments. I can picture both of them saying the words - I know who I would believe! There are so many lovely things in your journal - I would just sit and look at the pages with awe. Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #4

Linda, your album is just beautiful... what a fantastic job you have made of it, and so much perseverance and work! It has everything, even a box of choccies lol! I love the funny quotes too - I can really identify with the bra and pants one haha! It's a real treasure, and I love all the interactive bits too.

Thank you for your lovely comment - glad you enjoyed seeing my various bits and pieces this week. We are thrilled with our old/new electric fire. My hubby is now in the process of dismantling the old gas fire which has to go to the recyling centre, and it weighs a ton! I'm glad you like my cardigan. I think it's going to be OK now but it needs to be washed and pressed. Also I've got to find some suitable buttons for it. So glad you enjoyed seeing Lily and Ruby as babies - they send hugs to you and Inky and Mittsy (who I missed seeing this week!).

Happy belated WOYWW,

What I love about it, apart from the hours of work an pleasure it must have been for you , is the distressing, ageing and lovely antique-y look to it as a while, only to find its a bang up to date journal! Love that. I fear your Covid figures page will need another piece in the envelope to talk about a bounce back spike...people her are being out of control stupid. Good news for your DH, wish him a simple and effective recovery..my Fathe In Law found his replacement knees changed his life (for the better!), and would tell anyone who asked!

Wow Linda, that journal is spectacular, thanks for sharing. I particularly enjoyed the Trump/Trudeau pages: what a contrast! Meow to Inky and Mittsy, best wishes to your hubby for a speedy recovery (or as fast as it is possible). Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #7
