WOYWW #527

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings everyone! Today is the first day in the last 7 days that I have felt close to "normal". I had 4 days  of intense sore throat (think strep, but not, so no anti-biotics) until I went to the hospital on Sunday, and they gave me some sort of steroid for the swelling. By that evening the intense pain was gone and I could talk again! But on top of that was a cold that decided now that the sore throat was dealt with, it was time to come out in full force! Lucky me...this was along with violent coughing fits (and me with asthma, ever worried I was going to go into a full blown asthma attack). So today, thankfully, I feel better, and am hoping to get back to work on Friday. I feel like I've not worked more than I've worked for the past 3 months.

OK, pity party over. I have been watching a ton of You Tube craft videos. And I managed to do this yesterday, so this is my desk this morning:

That's about it for the whole week. But the birds are in the birdbath! That's good!
And I saw Mittsy drinking from it yesterday.

The garden has been sorely forgotten this year. By now I should have had porch flowers, annuals planted, cherry tomatoes and lettuce. But I have none of that. Sad.
Hopefully next year will be better. So, hopefully I won't wear myself out on the first day I feel human again!

The cats are upset because there are painters on our porch and I won't let them outside. Hopefully I will have more art to show next week, and I hope you are all well and happy! Meaows from Inky and Mittsy!

PS-please forgive me if I haven't replied to your wonderful comments, I will try to do better this week now that I am feeling more human.

Glad you're starting to feel better, but sorry it took a trip to hospital. I am sure you'll be back on track with your garden next year if not later this! Helen #2

Sounds awful Linda, poor you. I hope you’ll recover well, take it easy and don’t overdo it, it will set you back enormously. Those wildflower dies are pretty, some gentle colouring will do you good!

It's tough when you get hit so hard and feel so rough, but I'm glad you're feeling better now. Those wildflower dies are truly lovely.

Oh how awful, hope you keep improving...I am a firm believer in Ginger to drink...Sweet Aloe heals and I find eucalyptus epsom salt, hot water soak can help my sinus and breathing. Cotton soaked eucalyptus is my answer .
Not much for garden here either, weather did not co operate and my rhubarb was only enough for 1 meal. No jelly this year. But saved me a lot of work. Birds are really enjoying 3 bird baths here this year. LOTS of birds. It is so hot out I don't go out. Hope you great back to normal real soon and can enjoy some time creating.

Love your birdbath, Linda it’s really cute, we’ve raven here too .. noisy minors, lorikeets, magpies and whole host of others. Love your desk it, always looks like it’s fun to work at..
And wow, you have yourself well and truly been laid up there with one nasty bug .. with a real sting in its tail, it’s hard when you’ve a chronic condition like Asthma you need to be more watchful than others.
Happy belated WOYWW. Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #20
