WOYWW #519

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Greetings to all! I hope your Spring is warmer than our has been, it was almost at the freezing mark this morning! Good thing I didn't buy my porch flowers on Mother's Day like I usually do. Hopefully it will warm up soon, and we will catch up with everyone else.

Here is my desk this morning, just like I left it last night:

As I was tidying my craft room, I found a bag full of House Mouse images. they've probably been there 20 years. So I decided to make cards out of them. Here's the first one:

I have also been playing with my Lavinia stamps, and I have come to the conclusion that I need more!

This one was my Mother's Day card

And I did some culling of books this week...

I love them all, but I don't need them all! I can thank them for the joy they gave me, but now I can move on.

And something for my journal:

The paper came from an old Somerset Studio magazine that always had gorgeous papers to use in the middle- why do I save these papers? I don't even take them out of the magazine~They need to be used!

Last but not least,

Mittsy watching the bird feeder, and waiting for Inky to come in so she can "play" with her, although I don't think Inky thinks of it as play...more Mittsy annoying her...look how big she is!

My back is better, no pain for a few days now, back to work on Monday. They gave me 4 shifts next week, I hope I can last! Back to working evenings...

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying their Spring days, or their Fall days, depending...and have a wonderful week!

Oh Linda, thank YOU for not having an embedded comment box, I couldn’t comment last week on so many for that reason and same this week, so utterly frustrating.
Pop up comment boxes are so much more stable and or some weird reason work but embedded ones won’t. Needs to be changed in settings, of course, and embedded are default settings ugh.
Your House mouse card is sooo gorgeous. I love it ...need to get my few out and play.. sounds like a great idea! Lovely inky Lavinia too.
Yesss!
Culling books, I did that several years ago but don’t buy more. It’s either store stash or books, can’t do both. Used my spare bookcase in craft room.
And yesss, your puss is getting big, quite majestic isnt he, and aloof. Catlike. 😊
Happy WOYWW, hugs Shaz in Oz.x #20

What chocolate bar indeed - I hope it was yummy! I don't stamp at all but if I did, it would be the Lavinia stamps I'd go for, they're fantastic and really float my boat!

Books are so hard to get rid of! I love the cards you made, and especially the ones with the Lavinia stamps - they really are gorgeous. Happy WOYWW. Have a great week. With love and God Bless, Caro x (#18)

what amazing cards, Linda! It's been chilly in the mornings here, but then trying to warm up a bit... until the weekend, of course! I ought to have a cull of books too, but it is something I find very hard to do (and of anything else, come to that!) helen #1

I have that Terry Taylor book you are getting rid of and I've read the Altered Journal book, but don't own it. They are the hardest to get rid of. I can cull old papers faster than I can books.

BTW, I agree with you on the SS papers. Mine sit and languish while I stroke them (grin).

Mittsy has a wonderful view. I am glad to know Inky is still around. Happy WOYWW from #2.

Hi Linda, love the chocolate bar disguise! Lavinia are one of my favourite stamps. J have built up quite a collection, but will still buy more. They are lovely to stamp with and make the most beautiful cards. Yours are gorgeous. Have a lovely week Heather x #9

Now I feel better to know that I'm not the only one that has so many of those gorgeous Somerset mags and never uses the papers, it's crazy but I don't think I have taken even one out. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x14x

Hi Linda, good to hear your back pain is gone, just be careful not to overdo it and bring it back! Mittsy has grown so much, hasn't she? I used to buy a magazine- Making Cards- for the papers they had in them, then stopped when I realised i was just hoarding them, lol. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #15 X

Those are super projects - all of them! Are you sure you want to get rid of all those books? If I only kept things that I "need" I would have to throw away most of my stuff LOL! On the other hand, the space to buy new books is very tempting! Mitsy looks adorable and all grown up! Hope to see you again next week! zsuzsa #21

I love books and have a very large collection, prefer looking through them and reading into the mind of the author and creators rather than looking at pictures on the internet. I tend to hold out and buy second hand ones now or old library books, they have so much more character about them. Beautiful cards and well done on finding those house mouse images, my gosh they are as old as my Daughter hee hee!! Thanks for sharing WoyWw Hugs Tracey #4
P.S Wishing you a good week next week & hoping your back behaves x

Love the bit about the cats, I so enjoy reading about the two of them. Glad they are friends even if Mittsy wants to play and Inky avoids it for a while.
Lovely cards, Lavinia is very popular here. I met her when she started out at the beginning and gave her the low down on venues to use, she has come on leaps and bounds since then - very talented - lovely to watch her.
Glad your back is better - I am waiting for a spinal surgeon for mine - 5 months is a long time to be in pain.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx
