WOYWW #455

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone! Today's post will be short and sweet, as I have done absolutely nothing all week. I had my root canal on Thursday, and while the procedure itself was OK (the worst part being all the needles to freeze me), the recovery was horrible and long. I had quite possibly the worst night of my life as far as pain goes on Thursday night, and the pain was still intense (despite the drugs, that seemed to do nothing at all) on Friday and Saturday, living off of applesauce and yogurt. By Sunday I was finally able to eat soft solids, such as noodles, and by Monday I felt almost normal again, and hubby took me out to lunch to celebrate that I could eat again. The pain is mostly gone, but it's still lingering, now almost a week later. I'm not looking forward to phase 2 at the end of March.

But enough of that, I did manage to tidy my desk this week:

We have had rain and warm temps and lots of rain for the last few days, today is supposed to go up to 9C! The snow is receding, but, it is only February, so I'm sure we will get it all back at some point.

Inky, however is happy, wanting in and out all morning. She will be very disappointed to see all the snow come back!

Sorry I wasn't able to get to everyone last week, I think I missed a few who visited me, but this week should be better! Have a great WOYWW!

Ohhhh, Linda, I am so sorry for you! I TOTALLY know how you feel! I have not too long ago been through the same thing! Recovery was deathly and then to top it all off ended up having to have the same tooth pulled later....even though they said it was dead!!! Uggghhh! I have sworn off root canals forward! Just take the tooth! LOL I hope you have FULL recovery soon. On another score....your desk is clean right? LOL Take care and have a great rest of the week! P.S. Good on your hubbs for taking care of you!: )

Ouch Linda I really don't envy you; hope phase 2 is a lot less stressful. Glad you are able to eat normally again. It has been milder here, but we are due a cold snap again next week with temperatures barely above freezing even during the day. Meow to Inky. Sarah #7

Poor Inky - when the snow comes back. They are so funny when they first step out in it - well, mine was.
Sorry to hear about the root canal causing so much pain - I would rather have one out than go through that. I only ever had one and didn't likey at all.
Hope it goes better next time.
Hugs, Neet 9 xx

I so hope you get to feeling 100% soon! And that the 2nd part will not cause any discomfort. I've never had a root canal but hubby has and I don't remember him having too much pain, at least not like you. And how fun for Inky for now. Thanks for stopping by! Have a better rest of the week!

Hi there. Thank you for popping by. So sorry you've had a terrible time. Hope Part 2 won't be so traumatic. My D.I.L. had terrible time and in end had to have tooth out :-( sounds as though Inky making most of being able to go out. we have had forecast of very, very cold weather this weekend :-( - it does not do my aches and pains any good at all. I see you have a tidy desk as well. Anne x #15

OK I've had Root Canal and I feel your pain, I think it is on a par with my back really don't put yourself down as they are BOTH truly horrid. From what I remember the treatments get easier, although mine needed more than usual as I got an infection too, ho hum. Strange thing is that when I got it back in 2010 it was the time my Aunty Died so I was unable to go to her funeral in Birmingham (I live in Surrey) this time I managed my Uncle's (her husband) funeral in Birmingham but do believe the journeys to and from Birmingham were contributory factors to me getting this bad back! Such is life! Thanks for the visit BJ#4

oh that sounds so painful! I always find the injections to numb the pain the worse bit of treatment too... I will get my face hung I promise... eventually! Helen #1

Hi Linda, sorry to hear you had such a bad time with your root canal treatment. Hope part 2 is better. Our dentist uses numbing gel before he does the injection, so you don't feel the injection. Not sure if that is used in Canada. Seems a lot of us have the tidying bug this week, but that's better than the other bugs going around. Have a lovely week Heather x #28

Taking care of yourself if far more important than visiting a few crafters who have done very little (in my case) since last week. Wishing you a much better week.

Happy Belated WOYWW. Sorry to hear about your pain. I have had 2 root canals in my time, and no pain at all after them. My dentist also puts numbing gel on before doing any injections, and I literally don't feel them at all. Hope your 2nd treatment is much smoother. I am off to the dentist tomorrow, but just for my regular scale/polish. It makes it easier in that the surgery is in my favourite town, and I enjoy wandering around the lovely shops afterwards. Hi Linda. Ouch!!! That sounds horrible. I can't say I blame you for not looking forward to part 2! I do hope it goes better than part 1. Not surprised you have nothing to show on your desk.
I had a good time with Mr and Mrs D - they are glad to be on their boat again, and have now set off on their travels across England. Teehee - I certainly won't be making ALL those bags myself - we have a great group of folks who each make some. I simply cut them out and make a few! They are not really for sale - they are simple shoulder bags I designed a few years ago and they go out to Uganda. Our church supports 2 schools out there, and when the children reach Primary 4 level we give them a school bag in which is their very own Bible. They love it - real treasure!
Take care. God bless.
