WOYWW #454

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

We actually have some sun today! And a +3C temperature! I don't know how long it will last, but it feels nice today, anyway!

Happy Valentines Day to everyone! Hubby left me some candies (not too many! He knows I love them but they don't love me!) and a beautiful card. Here is what I left for him to find when he comes home for lunch today:

I went romantic and frilly this year!

Here was my desk last night:

and the journal page I was working on:

I've been in a lot of toothache pain since the end of January - it was only the other day that the dentist could even confirm which tooth it was! So tomorrow I have a root canal, which people have been assuring me is not as bad as it sounds. My main hope is that the toothache will go away!

Here is the page I made on Monday. This page was speaking to me, sometimes even yelling at me. It told me what colours to use, then that it needed the banner, I chose the images, then it told me it wanted to be about Chinese New Year. I tried to argue, I told it the colours weren't right, and how do the flowers fit in with Chinese New Year? It wouldn't listen, it insisted. So here it is! Gung Hay Fat Choy!

I almost forgot to show you the card I made for my mother's 83rd birthday! It was inspired by a card made last week by one of our Deskers!

The card that inspired this was made with a die, and much more beautiful, but it did the trick! My Mom's favourite colour is. . .

Inky has been venturing outside recently, she's getting so bored inside! But she refuses to let her feet touch the snow. It is so funny to watch her tiptoe where the snow has melted a bit! After I took this picture, she did venture out a little more, placing her feet in the melted spots that you can see, but quickly made her way back! We are both looking forward to Spring!!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines Day, and a fantastic week! Remember, even if you don't have that someone special today, YOU are worth loving, so give yourself some extra TLC, and enjoy!

my, you're busy too - there have been some very productive people sharing desks this week!
Paperartsy are going strong, the reason they're not doing the shows is to concentrate on the manufacture (they make all their own stamps and are a small family company) - the shows take such a lot of time and energy; so they will concentrate on wholesale side of things. I love their stamps too (as you can see from my desk, frequently, lol! ) Helen #1

Inky took me back to the days when I still had my Tabitha - she did exactly the same in snow.
Love the card you made and what a great gift those cookies are.
Love the journal page re the dentist and also the Chinese one - Gung Hay Fat Choy to you.

Hi Lindart, oh I feel for you with the toothache. I had root canal treatment, after I had pain every time I went diving. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The card you made for Valentine is gorgeous. My favourite colour is purple, and I'm guessing that might be your mum's favourite colour too. Have a lovely week Heather #13

Have had tons of root canal over my long life and I have to say dentists have improved. their technique and the pain does go away. It is just uncomfortable having someone thumping around in your mouth.
Inky sounds so cute. Cats are so sensible unless they are coon cats and they have to go out on the coldest day to check their trees.
Thanks for showing your journals they are looking very good.

Hi there, sorry I am late. I was enjoying a lovely meal and a glass of fizz last night with DH. Love the card you made and your gift.
Poor kitty, I would rather be in as well when there is snow. I do like it and the beauty of it - at first :-) It has been cold here which has caused me some not inconsiderable pain :-(
Journal pages are great and I love the card for your mum. My mum was 89 not long ago. was pleased I was able to go and visit her.
Do hope all goes well re your tooth. I had lots of problems last year :-(

Hi Linda. What a delightful and unusual card for your mum. Well done. Trust the visit to the dentist goes well.
Take care. God bless.

Urgh, so sorry about the tooth pain. My experience of root canal is that it’s not so bad, just seems to take a long time, after all, lying back with your mouth wide open isn’t exactly what one would choose! Hope I it goes well, and cures the problem...that deep seated ache is just horrid. Great job on the card for you Mum, I’m sure she loved it, and am very impressed at your ingenuity in getting round the die etc! I absolutely love the journal page, and that the colours were so insistent, absolutely smashing!

Happy Belated WOYWW - and I hope that the root canal went smoothly (I have had 2 in my life and not a big problem, except I get so stiff being in the chair for so long - my new dentist lets me get up regularly to stretch out). I love what you made for your hubby for Valentines Day. Those cookies look so good. I can definitely tell what your mum's favourite colour is! We only had a few flakes of snow this winter so far, and I still got excited. Ali x #30

Lovely stuff on your desk this week, Linda. And what gorgeous Valentine things - those biccies look fabulous!! I bet they went down a treat. So sorry to hear about your tooth problems - by now you will have had your treatment and I hope you've already got some relief from pain. Thank you for your lovely comment and sorry to be so long replying - after the craft show I crashed all day yesterday and only just picking up now (Sat. p.m.). We had a really lovely time! Glad you liked the Valentine card I made for my hubby - he loved it!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Oreo is the same - he wouldn't walk on snow! Perhaps it's a black cat thing LOL! Lovely projects all over! Hope your tooth has been sorted by now - if they do the pain relief properly, you shouldn't feel a thing! Happy (very) belated WOYWW!zsuzsa #9
