WOYWW #448

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello everyone!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful start to 2018!

Apart from hubby missing New Year's Eve, and our annual New Years Day Chinese Buffet Brunch,  due to the same sickness I had over Christmas, it was fun! My DD, her hubby, and I played Settlers of Catan (our 2nd annual New Year's Eve game!), and of course, Jamie won again, 2 years in a row. We will have to get him next year!

My desk this morning:

The first 2 cards I made with the Stamp Platform , getting ready for next year already! I chose this stamp because I had never had any success stamping with it for some reason!

I think I'm going to be using this platform a lot!

Here is a plaque I found at a thrift store - my word for 2018!

I also had my birthday on Monday, my Mom gave me a little Kodak Mini-Printer and film! I can print small photos (credit card size) from my camera! Should be fun for my journal!

So Inky and I wish you all the very best for 2018, and I will leave you drooling over the awesome cake my DD made for me for my birthday - all from scratch! That's my girl! It won't last much longer! (and then I have to get back to my diet!)

Don't mention diet in my hearing - I am busy eating left overs in quantities that no woman should eat LOL. All that is not good for me!!
Sorry I could not see your pictures, for some reason they would not load.
Sorry also that you did not fully get over your sickness - hope by now you are feeling much better.
Happy New Year, Neet 2 xx

Did you know that ALL chocolate birthday cake is calorie free by law? So there you go, no need to worry ;-D. Hope you had a good time with your family, sorry about your hubby - we've all had the lurgy in our house too so Christmas was very quiet.
Happy New Year - hope 2018 is a good 'un!

Happy New Year Linda, and a belated happy birthday! Settlers of Catan! Wonderful game! My family are great game players - and when we are all together we usually have a board game on the go each evening - the kids all love them too. Strategy players, my lot! Enjoy your new stamp platform - the first results are great! Well done.
Take care. God bless.

Happy birthday! Hope your hubby is feeling much better! I have a small MISTI and a larger one from another company. Absolutely love them! And I use them in my classes and my students are thrilled to get their stamping straight and clear! They love to be able to stamp twice for a clearer and cleaner look. Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great week!

That cake looks truly scrumptious! Great word for the year - I haven't chosen one yet - hmm, I'll have to think about that one! The stamping platform seems to be doing a good job - that is a perfect impression of the stamp! I hope you have lots of fun in 2018! Thanks so much for visiting earlier! Give Inky a hug from me! zsuzsa #19 xx

Happy Belated Birthday Linda :)
Hope your hubs is feeling better soon!

oh stamp platforms are such cardstock/art/background savers. ( esp. for sentiments that do not ink fully the first time) I am sure you will love it.

Hi Linda, thanks for swinging by. I LOL at your waterpot comment. Also I have a large version of your fiskars press, brand new and in the box, it was sent to me ages ago but was too big for me - if you want it, message me and I'll post it to you. I love stamping platforms, they are the best thing ever. I have the TH and a MISTI - awesome, you will never look back. Belated birthday and new year wishes to you. Clairex #26

You’re OK , there are no calories in birthday cake, honest. Enjoy! I haven’t even had a look at a stamping platform yet, am glad that you think you’ll get a good amount of use from it, especially if it’s helping with those silly stamps that don’t work. I absolutely love the happy New year graphic you used. Spot on perfect !

Hi Linda, Sorry you and your hubby had a bug and had to miss some of the festivities.

The cake looks scrummy. Surprised there was any left for you to take a photo of:)

Happy belated birthday. Mine was Christmas Eve.

Have fun with the stamping platform.

You asked on my blog if the Toppers could be used as bookmarks. They could, but they aren't very long.

Bye the way your number has changed to 27. Several of us had our numbers change.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Happy WOYWW

Linda, In answer to your question on my blog: I think if someone deletes their listing for some reason, then all those after it change numbers. Also if someone else if listing when you are, then your number can change. I tend to list and then wait a bit before checking my number again. I did that this week and my number hadn't changed, but it did much later.

Thanks for the belated birthday wishes.

Oooh CAAAAKE! I am drooling... Happy belated birthday! Enjoy your new stamp platform - I find mine totally brilliant because I can't stamp for toffee. Thank you for your visit, and a very happy new year to you too. We are gradually working through all the stuff we've got to do and my hubby is still languishing with his broken leg, light dimly visible at end of proverbial tunnel, we'll get through it all eventually! So glad you like our gorgeous kitties. They are such fun!

Happy belated WOYWW,
