WOYWW #408

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

I missed last Wednesday - Computer troubles - but I'm back now! Here is my desk this morning:

Finally broke down and bought the Dylusions paints - buy 2 get one free from Michael's! Kept putting this off for some reason, I don't like jumping into the newest fad, which this was last year, now new fads have arrived, and I won't jump into them either  (yet)! But I've used these at my friend Marg's, and I like them, so I will be experimenting with them in my journal.

Looking to my left:

I'm in the middle of unmounting my leaf stamps. I was experimenting with making a video of my process, but had a bunch of problems, so will try again when I get a memory stick for my iPad!

Here is the finished cover of Journal #13, sitting on top of my second box of 100 page protectors that I use for my pouches to store my UMs.

My new journal page:
This page has some texture where I used dimensional paste - the stenciled letters/numbers, and the leaves in the corner. The rest is stamping, on a background of some tissue paper I got at a restaurant in Colonial Williamsburg many years ago! If you look closely you can see "colonial" style script. I also used gelato markers for the edges. The flower heads, and letters have been stamped and cut, and glued onto the page.

Now a word from Inky:

Time to go peek at your desks! Thanks for peeking at mine!

WOYWW #406

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

It's the Ides of March today! Not so good for Caesar, but good for my Mom and Step-Father, they got married today, twenty some-odd years ago! Happy Anniversary to them!

Here is my desk this morning:
Flowers was a biggie, I have lots of flower stamps!

And I found the perfect binder for them!
It is covered in this beautiful flower fabric!

I have finished Journal #13, and now I'm working on the cover. It is a soft cover, so I thought Acrylic paint would work well!

Here are the last few pages of Journal #13:

This was my background using Distress Stains - I was experimenting because I had not really used them before:
I hated it! I really didn't think I would be able to recover. But here is the finished page:
I used stencils, stamps, a filmstrip die, and an old ATC!

And here is the last page of journal #13:
I just used what was hanging around my desk at the time (I often do that!), so the stencil, the border stamps and the balloon stamp. I printed the quote out myself, and used a scrapbook page from a Tim Holtz paper pad.

I have started Journal #14, here is my first page - my Muse for this journal!
Lots of different stamps: Lost Coast (Typewriter Girl), Tim Holtz wings, Meer Image legs, and a sunflower stamp (unknown). You might also notice the stencil I used for the background is the same on I used for the cover of Journal #13 - it was lying around so I used it! I have a set of typewriter letters - perfect!

Oh, and I found a new home for my binders, much easier to get to now!

Inky was crying to go outside this morning. . .

We had a snowstorm last night - hopefully the last one - Spring starts on Monday! Yay!

Thanks for joining me today! Now I'm off to see what's happening in your part of the world!

WOYWW #405

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Wow, another week gone by in a flash! Time goes by so fast these days! I'm still plowing away at my stamps, trying to get them done as quickly as I can so I can start working on other things (like art!). I just don't seem to be getting anything done these days. I have had a request from a friend for a card, so I will do that. Maybe I will actually have something to show next week! For now, this is this morning's desk:

The binders are piling up, but I'm only at "F" . . .I decided to put "Faces" in with "Parts" and "People" so it may take two binders.

And there's lots more to go. . .

Inky says "hi" from a box! I don't usually keep my garbage cans lying on the floor, but I always know when Inky has been searching!

That's it for today, short and sweet! Now I'm off to look at yours!

 Happy International Women's Day!

WOYWW #404

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

March 1st already!! Here in Southern Ontario it is +8 Celcius, going up to +12C today. Rainy and gloomy. I guess March has come in like a lamb here!

I have done nothing remotely artistic this week, although I have thought about it a lot! I am feeling the need to get these stamps done quickly so that I can re-organize the rest of my room, and get down to creating! I will make an effort this week to finish my #13 journal, though.

Here is my desk at 9:30 this morning:

It actually looks clean! But there is a lot of "random stuff" piling up as you can see!

Looking to the right. . .

My current unmounted stamp page. I am making my own pouches by sewing the sizes that I need.

Looking to the left. . .
Piles of mounted stamps that need unmounting, in piles of like sizes. The are my "Design Elements" stamps that I use a lot in my journaling. You might notice the pink bag on the left that was full to overflowing of plastic baggies last week, and is now empty. When I emptied this bag - I found a cheque for 51.00!! Crazy!

Well, that's it for March 1st. Inky says "Meow-eow-now-meow!" Of course, that is cat talk for "thanks for peeking at my Mom's desk! She's going to look at yours now!". And no, she doesn't have blue eyes!
