WOYWW #447

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

Hello to all my WOYWW friends! I have had a (unfortunately) terrible Holiday season, but a lovely actual Christmas Day. I fell sick on Tuesday (the 19th) evening, and was bedridden and "dying" (I think it was the flu, even though I did have the flu shot, exasperated by asthma) on the only 3 days I had to get ready for Christmas, and it went on to engulf Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and finally I started feeling better on Tuesday, and here we are at Wednesday. Not quite ready to go back to work, but at least I can sit at the computer! My wonderful daughter was totally in charge of Christmas dinner for the first time (it was strange, she was me, fixing dinner, I was her, watching TV and sleeping while she did that) and she did a fantastic job. Thankfully I was able to make turkey soup yesterday!
So needless to say, I have not been anywhere near my desk in more than a week!

But here are the two art related things I got for Christmas:
A whole box of Distress Oxide inks! And the TH Stamping Platform:

I should have lots of fun with these when I'm feeling up to it!

And lets not forget Inky, who got to open her stocking first on Christmas morning!

She also got a few other fun things, like a new tent to hide in!

So that's it for me, recovering slowly, but recovering, hopefully will be feeling like the old me very soon! My DD and I are venturing out in to the very cold temperatures today to see how long I can last (I'm supposed to be back at work tomorrow!) so wish me luck! I will try and visit as many of you as I can over the week!

Hope you are soon feeling much better - nothing like the real flu to make you feel absolutely terrible and lie you very low.
Love your Christmas presents - so much joy to come from them and thanks for showing Inky with all that lovely CatChristmas goodness.
Hugs & Wishes for a good New Year - get well soon

Oh Linda, I am so sorry you were feeling so poorly over Christmas, and I hope you soon feel better. How lovely to have your daughter to step in and cope on your behalf! I love your Christmas presents, and Inky looks so cute in her new tent, and opening her stocking! Thank you for your comments on my blog and I'm sorry not to have replied last time. I really appreciate your kind words and encouragement. It hasn't been the easiest time for us but hopefully things will improve in the coming year. A hug and a cup of tea would have been so welcome! There have been times when I wondered how I was going to deal with it all but you just have to press on, don't you.

Hugs to you,
Shoshi x #5

Hi Linda. So sorry to hear you were poorly. We went to my daughter's for Christmas dinner, so i didnt have to cook either! Not that I normally do christmas dinner, Mr M does a much better job than me. I hope you feel better soon and get to play with your lovely new toys ... I used my stamping platform for a set of Christmas cards, perfectly positioned stamps each time. Have a wonderful new year, and best wishes for 2018 xx Heather #17
