WOYWW #401

Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

I have 2 desk shots to show you today, one was taken on Monday, and the other this morning. I managed to get a journal page done this week, so I will start with that:

 just enough room to work!

for some reason I was in a green and purple mood. I used Dylusions spray, Dylusions stamps, and the purple was Distress Ink (my new one from Christmas) and Distress markers to colour her in. The background stencil behind her was one I got for Christmas.

As you have all been hearing ad-nausium, I am unmounting my stamps and putting them in binders. This week I had a difficult one that just was not giving up its black foam, so I thought I would spray it with goo gone and see if that helped. It didn't. Don't do it!

So this is what my desk looked like this morning:

yes, I was trying to flatten my warped stamp. Did nothing, but then I thought "what if I heated it up, then put the weight on it?" That seems to be slowly working. It really isn't a big problem, it will still fit into the spot on the page, and it will still stamp, however, flatter is better!

Here is what my pile of binders looks like now. I am almost at "C"! I did start a Scenic Binder that  will hold a l lot of my scenic stamps such as houses, celestial, trees, etc. Right now it just has architecture and houses.  Below these binders you can see some of my boxes of unmounteds yet to hit the binders.

I am using nice scrapbooking binders - I get them at the thrift store for only $1.99! (1 pound 21 pence?)

Last weekend I celebrated my 12th year on Blogger! Wow! Scroll down to see what those 12 years looked like if you want to! (I would love to have some comments on that post as well!)

And here is Inky, wishing she could go outside for more than 10 minutes at a time. . .

Thanks for visiting! I will now go and peek at yours!

Gorgeous art journal page! That is such a summery green! Too late as it is after the event, but use a hairdryer on hot,(or a heat gun on slow, and with care) to remove sticky labels, rubber stamps from mounts etc. The heat makes the adhesive go sticky and you can pull it off more easily. I hope you can flatten out your stamp, good luck Happy WOYWW! Anne #10

I love the current and the original journal style...it's lovely to see your older work isn't it, to map your journey! Your desk looks very comfortable to me too...room to work is all you need! If you actually get to celebrate VLentines, I'll take my hat off to you. We won't, and my DH won't be curling!

Looks like you are doing ok with all those stamps. I'm currently happy with my stamps being on their wooden blocks - but if I change my mind, then thanks for the tips over the past weeks.
Take care. God bless.

I'm a big fan of green and purple! Not many folk are but I love them together. And such a lovely hue of green too. I particularly like the fan effect on the right. My cats Taz and Trillian send their sympathies to Inky. They are in the same boat. Thanks for sharing and have a great week! EmbroidRage #8 x

Love the yellowgreen-purple combo! Nice complimentary colours. Shame about the warped stamp, but it's still usable! I wouldn't worry about it. Then again, I keep all mine dumped in a box. Gosh, just how many stamps do you have to fill those thick binders alphabetically? I'm not surprised you need to keep them organized, otherwise you would never find anything! Thnaks for visiting earlier! zsuzsa #30

Great AJ page and I hope your idea of heating and weights will sort out that stamp. You have a large collection of stamps if you are only up to C. I have to small boxes and think that is too many. Gorgeous kitty.

Hi Linda! I love your journal page, the two colors are spectacular and really make you LOOK at the images!! I see you are unmounting your wook blocks! you had stopped by my pae and mentioned you were doing this, those stamps on my banner are unmounted! The blocks were so pretty I couldn't throw them away! I did this 4 years ago and I have never regretted, better for storing and much easier to stamp with! Those stamps with the black foam are a real pain! I stuck mine in the micro wave for 30 seconds and it made it easier. Have a great week! Ginny M #28

Wow, That green is really in your face but I love it - the pop of purple is fantastic too! Hope your stamp eventually flattens out, I had to do the same to my cutting mat which warped in the heat of the conservatory last summer....

When I unmounted all my stamps (started stamping age 7 when I was a CB enthusiast and you stamped your 'callsign' and I am now 46) I must admit the easiest way was 10 second blasts in the microwave, as as you have found a slight 'heating' and then pressing helps any 'kinks'.
Took AGES but they now take up a fraction of the space.
