Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you
want to know what WOYWW is, just go to
http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html and all will be
revealed!
Wow. Look how clean my desk is this morning! I actually put things away yesterday - all the things I'm using for unmounting my stamps I have been popping onto a bag so I don't lose them - things go missing so quickly in this room! So, really, all I have been doing this week is working on unmounting and storing my stamps. It is a slow job, so you will probably hear a lot about it this year. I think I may make myself spend one day a week actually working on something else, or else this is the only thing that will get done this year! But, I didn't do that this week.
Here is what is awaiting me: On the floor beside my chair - Box of Bird Stamps, and 2 Christmas Stamp boxes
Mounted stamps in all these boxes:
And these (and several boxes I didn't photograph):
And here is what I've done so far - I have gotten rid of 2 photo boxes of mounted stamps, plus 4 small boxes, into these 3 binders (plus some already unmounted stamps)
I am presently working on "Birds". So, I think, as far as space saved goes, I will see a lot more space in this room! Of course, then the room will need a total makeover - it never ends!
I have to make a birthday card for my brother this week, so I will have that to show next week, as long as I remember to take a pic of it!
Here is a rare shot of both my cats, Penny and Inky, together.
Well, that's it for today, now I'm off to peek at your desks!

Great photos of the cats. You are very good sorting your stamps, I always mean to try and reorganise mine but then get distracted. I like mounted stamps but they do take up a lot of room. I've joined your followers, I know how hard it is to build up a following. People don't seem to do it so much now and it's a nice thing to do.
Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x 9
It's definitely the time of year for sorting things out - you look like you are taking on a heck of a job there, but it will be worth all the effort when it's done and you have all that space to fill with other things!
Hope you have a great week, and thanks so much for stopping by mine earlier,

Gorgeous cats. You have got a big job there with all those stamps. You do need to have a day off a week though and craft!!!! Thanks for the visit. Anne x #18
how well organised you are. I have lots of boxes of stamps (still on their mounts) and most are organised; I even kind of know what is where.... Happy WOYWW Helen #2
How many stamps? Gosh we WILL be hearing about it for some time to come won't we? How about a scrap page for next weeks WOYWW. Thanks for the visit. BJ#34
I like the idea of dating your desk shots. (Dating as in putting a date on them, not taking them out for dinner, LOL!) Looks like you're very organized with your boxes. I love putting stuff into boxes too, but mine are nowhere near as organized as yours. Cute kitties - I think I know which one's which, LOL! Thanks for visiting earlier. Your lovely comment put a smile on my face :) Have a great week! zsuzsa #14
Hi Penny and Inky (what a great name for a black cat!!) Mew :)
I am impressed with your resolve to sort all your stamps out.. I'd have grown bored in two days and given up... I am too lazy to commit to such a hard task, even knowing it will be so worth it in the end.
Have a lovely week x

Hi Linda, first off, I LOVE your cats! Gorgeous, both of them. Great idea to unmount, although I agree it's a long slog to get them all done. Amazing how much space you get back. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 XxX
Hello Linda, thank you for your earlier visit. I love how organised you are but that is a serious amount of stamps! I changed from wooden stamps a few years ago and don't have a big collection of them so can keep them as they are. You do have a big job on your hands. Hope you manage to find some time to be creative as well as organised - but, doesn't it make you feel good when everything is shipshape? Happy WOYWW Cindy #25
Well done on sticking to your plan to unmount all your wood stamps - good luck with that. Your craft space looks super well organised ... may I assume the furbabies assist with that?

OH, my, you do have quite a job unmounting all those stamps. I think it would be difficult because I'd want to stop and use some of them along the way. :)
Another really tidy desk! There seem to be quite a few this week! I adore your beautifully labelled boxes - really stylish and organised. And it's always lovely to see kitties on WOYWW - such a beautiful pair, too! We've also got 2, grey tabbies, now quite elderly and with various health problems. My hubby and I are both cat slaves. Thank you for your lovely comment - hope I won't keep you waiting too long to see the progress on the mini-books but I've got to be disciplined and work on my UFOs - can't break ALL my NY resolutions before January is out lol! So glad you like my embroidery. Shi-sha mirror work is my absolute favourite. I finished that piece this evening. Only another 20 to go!
Happy WOYWW,

Beautiful cats. I love gingers. You certainly have lots of stamps & I bet the kitties will want to be close when you start stamping the birds. ... Mary-Lou #26
Wow that's a lot of stamps! Lots of sorting. They should be next on my list, but I need to get through the floss first.

Reading about all the progress with your stamp and studio organizing makes me want to do something with mine. I just need some time to do it now. Blessings!
I love your organised storage for your stamps.
Your cats are lovely.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Hi there. Finally made it to peek at your desk this week. Oh my word. What a lot of stamps you have. You may well be right that if you don't take a break you will be there for the whole year!
Take care. God bless.

Wow, that's quite an undertaking. I know this will free up tons of room for you. I keep all of my stamps (both mounted and photopolymer) in photo boxed much as you do your bins. I've determined I'm a flipper. Have you thought about the ScrapRack system for your stamps rather than having to handle the binders? Creative Blessings! Kelly #41
great looking desk and I love all that stamp storage! My kitties are never in the same spot at the same time either. Sorry I am so late getting around but...I made it!!! Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my desk earlier! Vickie #54
Cats have impeccable timing, and hate to see us over working rather than feeding treats. I use playing cards as Artists Trading cards(ATCs) they are a lot of fun.
