WOYWW #388

Another Wednesday - 4 in a row! Hopefully I can keep this up! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html  and all will be revealed!

I have been working on my journals this week - yes, I have two that I am currently working on. First, there is the one you are all used to seeing, my Journal #13, almost finished! Then there is a new-ish journal I am calling Mama Bird Journal #1.

As some of you might remember, way back in the summer I had started working on a Life Coaching course called ARTbundance. Well, I am now in the very ending stages, I have 2 coaching sessions to do, and one "event" workshop to do, then I will hopefully get my certification!

If you would like to help me get to my certification, you can attend my FREE workshop event, on Monday Nov 14, at 10am EST, AND get lots of FREE goodies from ARTella at the same time!

Here is the workshop, it is called:

Nurturing Your Nest with ARTjournaling

All of us have our “nest”, our place of comfort and safety. This workshop will help you to nurture your nest so that you can deal with the day to day problems that we all have. We will do this in two ways:
1-through learning about ARTbundance and ARTsignments
2-through recording your experiences in an ARTjournal – no experience necessary!
You will leave this workshop with 3 completed pages of an ARTjournal, and one to work on afterwards; some great insights, and the great feeling of having had FUN! There will also be a follow up email with more ideas, and how to make your pages into a book form.

This workshop is for you if:
1. You would like to find out more about yourself, and how to manage your own day to day problems
2. You have never heard of ARTjournaling and it intrigues you
3. If you have heard of ARTjournaling and have always wanted to try it but had no idea how to start, or even if you could do it
4. If you are artistic and want a way to use your creativity
5. If you are NOT artistic but want to try anyway! You don’t need to be an artist for this workshop, or even creative!

Now, I know you are ALL artistic, and perhaps the thing you would learn in this workshop (which is the very BASIC of Art journaling techniques) but you might be interested in the Nurturing part of it, how to make your art journal a Nurturing place through ARTbundance.. You can do whatever you like on your pages!

If you are interested, please click here:

Scroll down past the blue with the sunflowers, and I am there.

OK, now that that part is done, here is my desk this week:

I am working on a journal page in my Mama Bird Journal, which is connected to my ARTbundance course. Here is the finished page:

This page is about celebrating the completion of my course - even though it isn't actually completed yet!

Here is the cover of my Mama Bird Journal - I made this cover years ago - now I know what it was waiting for!

Here is an actual clean spot in my stamp room (which I am renaming "my nest"):

Here is the finished page from Journal #13 from last week - I thought it was too bright, so I toned it down:

and here is step one using the paper-towel mop-up from last week:

One last photo - of me! In my Nest!

So glad you stayed all the way until the end - Thank you!

And very nice it is too to see a Lindart in her natural environment!! I really like your journal pages but it was the metallic cover that caught my eye. Honestly it looks just like copper, how clever is that?!

Loving your journal pages, it's making me think I should start doing some more in mine as it's not seen the light of day for a while. Loved to see your mop up papers and look forward to seeing how you complete that piece. Have a great woyww, Angela x 19

Absolutely fabulous journals, Linda. I love the embossed cover you did, and the beautiful colours and the feathers... Stunning work. Thank you for your lovely comment - so glad you like my recent efforts. I wish I could say I'd done the beetle with no help, but I was following along with a Youtube video - not sure the result would have been as good if I'd done it from my head. Lots to learn!! You are right, I certainly have got a lot of support for my various health issues, and it's very reassuring to know they've all got my interests at heart. Thanks for your good wishes!

Happy WOYWW,

Love the toned down pages in your journal - think it is the colouring that has caught my eye on this one because I like your other pages too.
Nice to see a photo of you in your favourite environment, well I presume it is one of your favourites.

I love your pages and 'Artella-land'... I used to surf that site a lot (and even had an article/post in their ezine) but haven't been there in ages now... thanks for reminding me of the place! Good luck with the workshop! "The nest" is a wonderful way to name your creative place.. my 'atelier' (as I call it) feels indeed like a nest too! Hug from Holland, Marit #15

Thanks for visiting and I think that waiting for stuff to fall off the table a good enough sign to clean up. A nest is a perfect name for a place of your very own. Art Journaling has been my obsession for 4 to 5 years starting with fabric journal and then travel journals. This year I continued with the Documented Journal project Journal 52 (dropped in June) and fauxbonichi that was dropped in August. Next year taking Wanderlust and doing a combination of several journal classes. Now that I know which ones I like.
Plan to check you out here each week if I can remember the day of the week. A light just went off put reminders on mobile!

Your journal pages look great!
My Misti substitute is called Stampmaster and it was $40AUD, a fraction of the price of the original Misti and from what I can see it is absolutely identical. I have been using it today and I am very pleased with it. (I was NEVER going to buy the original Misti. Ridiculously overpriced!) Thanks for dropping by earlier.
