Another Wednesday, they come so fast (and I missed last week!)! If you don't know what WOYWW is pop on over to HERE and read all about it!
So it's a nice sunny (but still cold, only 5C) day here in southern Ontario, but the ice on the lake has finally gone! Yay!
And there are a few flowers to be seen here and there! Can't wait for the leaves to finally pop out! We even had a couple of visitors on our front lawn the other day!
Enough about that, you are here to see my desk - well here it is! A bit bare as I had just finished 3 cards yesterday that I popped into the mail (and forgot to take photos - darn)
It's starting to get a bit messy again, but I think I'm doing a good job of at least having space to work! You can see some white paint on my desk, that is where I did this:
gessoed both sides of these cards, then took them to my friend Marg's house. . .
Added paint to one side:
Then stenciled. . .
Off to Marg's this afternoon to finish up - hopefully will be able to share the finished project next week!
Now I'm off to see YOUR desks!! Thanks for visiting, and comments make me happy!

That playing card project looks interesting. I will be interested to see the finished product next week :) Happy WOYWW. Shel@PaperOctilloStudio #54
Really interested to see how those cards turn out, if you are separating them again. Ooh - got my brain whirring now :)
Thanks for stopping by to see me already, I'll definitely show the canvas when it's done :)

That's a great background you've done there - I love those rich colours and the stencilling looks fab. Looking forward to seeing how your project progresses!
Have a great week,

Wonderful pictures and post.

I hope to see the finished project, looks really interesting. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 30
You see, we are moaning in the UK about how our May temperatures are below average and we're at 14C! So when I see that you're still only 5C, then we need to stop complaining :-) But it's lovely to see that flowers are pushing their way through even now!
That's really great to see your step by step explanation...but why did you use playing cards rather than a large piece of cardboards or something?
Hugs, LLJ 15 xx
Ice on the lake, degrees of 5C, it all sounds so cold - I'm shivering just thinking about it. Here in Scotland it's now up to 13C today but it's still dropping - 12C forecast for tomorrow! Nice to see the flowers - little harbingers of spring for you :) Your method of decorating and colouring the playing cards is very interesting - thanks for sharing. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #56
Ahh, love piecing paper, gesso and paints... I could imagine doing ATC backgrounds that way, aren't they playing card size? Thanks for sharing, happy woyww!

It's 88 here and i am just relieved we have some sun. That is a fantastic way to make the cards. I may have to copy this idea as I have 15 to make.
Thanks for visiting

Looks like flowers are starting to peep out. I love winter, but spring is so pretty. April #69
Those cards look great, I love your colour choices.
Thanks for your visit earlier. Spring arrived in the Netherlands and I hope it will get to you real soon, so you can enjoy the sun and warm(er) temperatures. I love the white paint on your table, it reminds me of the time I was in art school and taped my paper to the walls of my student-room.. after a while, there were all kinds of colored 'frames' on that wall, ha! Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #35
