Another Wednesday, time to peek at each others desks and projects! If you want to know what WOYWW is, just go to http://www.stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-woyww.html and all will be revealed!
Greetings everyone! I hope you all are having a lovely summer day today, as we are. It hasn't been very hot, which is nice, although I hear there is a heat wave coming to Europe, so I hope you all stay inside where it is nice and cool.
I'm going to show my desk a little further down today, as I have things to share before I show you my desk.
I went thrift shopping the other day and bought this:
Isn't it beautiful? And it holds all the stuff that builds up on my desk and gives me more room to craft!
And I received my order of a grab-bag (on sale) from Viva Las Vegas - I love these bags of random stamps, especially since I hate choosing stamps! So many good stamps here that I know I will use!
So with all that said, here is my desk this morning:
I have just cut out one plate of stamps, stamped the images, and put tack-it-over-and-over glue on the backs of the stamps
So I will probably be doing a lot of this next week!
Last week I was working on my project, not quite finished yet, but here are some peeks:
Some inserts
for these pockets:
then added these tags from the leftovers, and added one of the little wooden hearts I got at the Dollar Store:
Added these in another tuck spot:
made these cute little journaling tags:
for here:
Still more to go!
That's it for today, here are Mittsy and Inky together (they look like on big black blob of cat!) in the garden, which is finally looking nice!
and one of our resident squirrels - Mittsy's favourite thing to chase!
So Mittsy and Inky both say "meow" to all of you and any cats and dogs out there, and I say have a great weekend, stay safe!

Greetings everyone! We have a glorious sunny day today - the second in a row! Let's home summer is here to stay!
We are here today to look at desks, and mine is especially messy today - that means lots has been happening! I'm making a gift for a friend, a journal made of envelopes, following a tutorial from Bohemian Crafting. I have fallen in love with this woman and her tutorials!
So here is my desk, I'm almost finished with putting together the project, I am just gluing the spine in this photo. I have so little room to actually work, I do most of my cutting and scoring on my lap! (click to enlarge)
and a sneek peek at the folder - more will be revealed next week!
I'm following a tutorial at Bohemian Crafting, and I keep getting ahead of myself, completing something, just to find out, no, I should have watched the whole segment first! Oh well, that's how we learn!
I was excited to buy some labels from Eva (from Bohemian Crafting). I've never bought anything like this from anyone before, always figured I could just make it myself, but I caved and bought them off Etsy. I'm so glad I did! I was expecting an envelope with labels...but I got so much more:
I got a lace covered journal (from inside a lovely decorated envelope)!
opened up...beautiful embossed pocket with lots of goodies sticking out! But I don't see any labels...
I opened this card next...
but it doesn't open, it pulls out! (I remember seeing her tutorial on how to make this)
now for the right side, looks interesting (but where are the labels?)
a journal card pulls out, the flaps open up...
the whole thing flips up, more journal cards...(but where are the labels? I'm beginning to worry...)
I find this folded up and sealed with a pull strip..do I open it? Pull the strip?
I do, and voila! the labels!
Oh my goodness, that was more fun than I've had in a long time! This was so awesome, I've seen her make these journals on her You Tube channel, this makes them all so real! Thank you so much, Eva!
Well, I think I've used up all the time I have to share, the kitties are outside enjoying the weather (they just came in a little while ago for mid-morning treats, and wanted immediately to go back out - just like a couple of kids!)
So, meow from the wayward kitties, and have a great week from me! Next week, hopefully, I will share my project!

Greetings! I hope everyone is finally enjoying some Spring (or Fall!) weather! We still have not put the AC on, last year it had already been on for a few weeks by now! Everything is about a month late here.
Anyway, here is why you are here, my desk, actually taken last night just before I closed up for the night:
I am just starting a new project, a gift for a friend
My recent junk journal pages, one page is missing, I can't find it in my i-cloud photos, but it's on my phone...frustrating! We went to see a show called Boom X, all about the history and music of the X-generation (1965-1979), as seen from the playwright/actor. It was awesome! The theatre is right on the St. Lawrence River, and the water is very high...
the page before this one is missing somehow, here are photos of the water level, you an see the bench in the middle of the water! It is really sitting on a dock...
the story and songs are on the sheet inside the pocket
I went on a couple of shopping sprees...
So many new things to play with, I certainly seem to be adding more to this room than I am getting rid of!
Here is something I did using the fold-over packaging of the wooden circles, after decorating one of the circles. I will probably glue it to the side edge of one of my junk journal pages.
AND I learned something new (you all probably have done this before, but I have never done it!)
I went looking for a tutorial, found lots, and settled on this one, the woman said she had tried them all and liked this one best, so that's the one I went for! Worked like a charm!
Used my first coffee died page in my junk journal:
you can also see I am experimenting where to put that edge piece I made...
Well that's it, sorry for the long post! When I'm creative I seem be to overly creative, but it's better than when I'm not in the mood! So many projects, so little time! Just watched a video on Art Tiles...oh no...
No kitty pics today, but here are Mr and Mrs Mallard, on their daily visit to the feeder!
I think they are both bigger than Inky and Mittsy!
Meow from the cats, and have a great week from me!

Greetings everyone! Hope you are drier than we have been! This has been such a wet and cold spring, it's June and I'm still putting the furnace on, it's so cold! We are having some painting in the house done today, hopefully my dreary grey walls will look much brighter painted white!
SO, I have been busy working in my junk journal this week, here is my desk this morning:
I am in the middle of working on a page about the house tour that my Mom and I went on a couple of weeks ago, and I finished my Mother's Day entry as well.
Mother's Day
Here in Canada Mother's Day was on May 12. Here is my page in my junk journal for that day, as well as my DD's birthday:
The cats is my Mother's Day card from my DD - it opens up to this!
The tiny writing under the strip says that my DD turned 33!
House Tour:
Every year the Kingston Symphony holds a fund raising House Tour. Each house that is visited has some kind of live music playing (although we often seem to arrive during changeovers). We visited 7 houses.
Each house has a long blurb that no one reads to go under the photo in the House Tour booklet. I just took the lines that I thought relevant and used them. These cards fit into the pocket on the right side of the page (see first pic)
And each page has a little key or lock charm
Garden and Kitties: Can you find Mittsy?
Finally the crab apple is blooming!
And this, I can't remember what it is:
But Mittsy likes to smell it!
And Inky is 6 years old today!
Seems like yesterday she was just a tiny kitten!
Some of you commented on the holder that I found for my Spray inks. I found it on Amazon.ca, here is the link:

That's it for me today, sorry it's so long, good for you if you got this far! I'm looking forward to hearing all about the crop! Meows from the kitties, and have a wonderful week! from me!
