Hello to all my WOYWW friends! I have had a (unfortunately) terrible Holiday season, but a lovely actual Christmas Day. I fell sick on Tuesday (the 19th) evening, and was bedridden and "dying" (I think it was the flu, even though I did have the flu shot, exasperated by asthma) on the only 3 days I had to get ready for Christmas, and it went on to engulf Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and finally I started feeling better on Tuesday, and here we are at Wednesday. Not quite ready to go back to work, but at least I can sit at the computer! My wonderful daughter was totally in charge of Christmas dinner for the first time (it was strange, she was me, fixing dinner, I was her, watching TV and sleeping while she did that) and she did a fantastic job. Thankfully I was able to make turkey soup yesterday!
So needless to say, I have not been anywhere near my desk in more than a week!
But here are the two art related things I got for Christmas:
A whole box of Distress Oxide inks! And the TH Stamping Platform:
I should have lots of fun with these when I'm feeling up to it!
And lets not forget Inky, who got to open her stocking first on Christmas morning!
She also got a few other fun things, like a new tent to hide in!
So that's it for me, recovering slowly, but recovering, hopefully will be feeling like the old me very soon! My DD and I are venturing out in to the very cold temperatures today to see how long I can last (I'm supposed to be back at work tomorrow!) so wish me luck! I will try and visit as many of you as I can over the week!

Greetings everyone! We now have snow that will probably stick around! We will have the first White Christmas we have had in awhile if it does! Only -13C (8.5 F!) today!
And this is my desk this morning - I have to say, I sat down yesterday evening and cleaned it up - it was a disaster area!
I only have one project to share today, I made this for my Brother-in Law and Sister-in-Law, whom we were visiting in Montreal this past weekend:
Another one made with a stamp wood-block!
We had an incredible experience in Montreal, we got to be part of the chorus for Handel's Messiah in a church! We had an orchestra and professional Soloists. It was awesome, the audience was divided into Soprano, Alto and Bass, and we all sang together - it sounded glorious! We only sang the beginning, about Jesus's birth, then ended with "Hallelujah!"
So that's me for this week, short and sweet for a change! Inky wants to go outside, but then realizes how cold it is!
So here's a "Can you find me?" puzzle from Inky. What a trickster she is!
Have a wonderful week, it's getting closer to the day! I will try and visit more people this week!

Happy December to you all! December always goes much too quickly! My desk has been very busy lately, as I keep coming up with new ideas, and just HAVE to do them immediately! LOL! Here is my desk this morning (actually looking better than it did yesterday!) As I said - I've been very busy with a project, using an old candle box from last Christmas!
And here it is!
The scene was hidden inside the box! But I'm sure you figured that out. It was a lot of fun to make!
Some house decorating has been done as well, I won't bore you with it all, but here is my favourite Advent Calendar that my Dad gave me many years ago. Each drawer has a tiny ornament in it, and every day a new ornament goes onto the tree!
This is today's ornament - painted on a Christmas tree lightbulb!
And the presents under the little tree? Bet you can't guess. . .
Of course! I wrapped up a couple of my woodblocks from when I unmounted my stamps! Always finding uses!
My Nutcracker collection and the Advent Calendar I made last week:
And here's Inky, looking very prim and proper, saying "Have a Meowly perfect week!"
That's it for me today, I'm a bit late in the day - but busy busy busy! Now I'm off to the gym! Thank you all for visiting and for your wonderful comments!

Greeting to you all! I have to work today, so I'm getting all this ready Tuesday evening, wine in hand! Our weather has been fairly pleasant lately, no snow since last week! We went on a weekend trip to Dundas, near Hamilton (just past Toronto), about a 4 1/2 hour drive, it was cloudy, but no snow or rain! We went to an annual Christmas Party, our 42nd, a gathering of the University boys who used to all live together in one house, and their spouses. We have a great time every year!
Here is my desk this evening - a bit neglected as I haven't sat here since last Friday!
I got a bunch of Christmas Cards done on Friday:
I made 10 of these:
1 of this one and decided it would be too much work to reproduce, but I love the Santa stamp. . .
Someone in this group talked about doing a masterboard for background for her CCs, so I tried one, and I loved it!
So I made a few with the masterboard background:
I did make one more, but forgot to take a picture of it. I have a bit left, so I will use it up, and perhaps make another one! It was fun!
This one is a magnet. Someone gave me a magnet of their business, of course the first thing I do is alter it!
Well, that's me for today, the sun is now hitting Inky's hammock at just the right angle in the afternoon, so here she is enjoying it!
News on the new kitten, Pinot, it is not to be, another group who won't allow cats to have an outdoor experience in their life. It's really starting to irk me! I would think an indoor cat would be at far more risk of being hit by a car (if escaped) than a cat who knows what cars are. And cats need to be outdoors! OK, my rant of the day is over. Still looking for a kitten. . .
Wishing everyone a wonderful week of artful creativeness!

Hello everyone! As we are getting colder and colder, our friends in Oz are getting warmer! Just a bit of jealousy there. . . we had our first snowfall this week.
it's all gone now, but I'm sure it will be back!
Here is my desk this morning:
A bit of a mess, as I am trying to make Christmas cards! I don't have a lot to make, I have made about 12 so far, of about 21. So not too bad! My favourite Santa stamp is there, I just find him so happy and joyous!
Here is my card stash so far. Not much to look at!
Here is an "assemblage" I made last week, I didn't know where it was going until it decided to be an Advent Calendar!
All the extra numbers are velcroed to the back and sides. I used a 99 cent wooden plaque I found at a thrift store as the base, and the word on top is made from the woodmounts of my scrabble stamps!
I have been wanting to get a companion for Inky, and have fallen in love with "Pinot" (noir!) at our local Cat Cafe, and I hope to adopt her in a few weeks, once we are home for the winter. Hopefully no one else will get her before we do! She is also pure black and tiny, just like Inky! Hopefully they will get along. She came right up to me and snuggled and purred - she didn't do that with anyone else that was there!
Here is Inky, right after discovering her world was now white.
She looks a little disgusted to me! But now that it has all melted away, she's back outside for short bursts, as it is still pretty cold! Pretty soon, she will once again, be an indoor cat.
Have a great week everyone! I will visit everyone as I have time, will visit all who comment (thank you!) and all who's number ends in the same as mine, and all who I have time for after that.
And. . . Happy Turkey Day to all our American friends! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hello! I have to work on Wednesday, early, so I'm writing this Tuesday night, and it will be short and sweet!
Here was my desk on Monday afternoon:
The ideas going through my head had to come out! I saw , in a group on FB, a way to use my discarded wood mounts!
This one I used the image on the wood mount as a part of the design! I'm not sure what to call these- stand alone Christmas decorations? Maybe you have some ideas?
I cleaned up the big mess, and here is my desk today (Tuesday)
Finally making some Christmas cards! I made a design I liked, and am now making a set of ten the same. Also started a new Christmas decoration (plaque?) using a wooden picture I found at a thrift store for 99 cents. I have ordered the Tim Holtz Christmas cut out people, so may wait for them to arrive (if I can) to finish this!
So that's it for me today. Inky is upstairs sleeping on the warm waterbed (it has gotten very cold in the last few days!) but I'm sure she would say "hello" if she could! I will try and visit everyone I can next week, those ending in my number, those who comment, and hopefully a few more! Have a wonderful week!

Greetings everyone! I have nothing to show this week. I have been busy working and recovering from work, hardly going into my stamping room at all this week. I will hopefully get in there this week, as I have several ideas floating around! Here is my desk this morning:
Nothing much to see here except a Michael's bag! And here is what's inside: more glue for my unmounting project, and the Tim Holtz pile of cut out people.
I am looking forward to working with the cut out people, I've wanted this for awhile, felt that after all that work, I deserved it! So hopefully I can show you next week what's floating around in my head this week!
So here's my November garden instead. A bit of a sorry sight, but a few interesting things:
Still some flowers blooming! Impatiens and Marigolds!
The beautiful red berries on our Crab Apple tree!
My geraniums aren't still blooming, but the pot still looks good!
I have two kinds of Hydrangeas, one beside the other, but they look very different today! This one looks terrible,
While this one looks very pretty!
Well, hopefully I will have more art to show next week, and maybe even some Christmas Cards (we can only hope!).
Here is Inky saying "hello" and "Treat time please!" So I'm off to deliver treats!
I will visit as many people as I can, anyone who has my ending # in their ending number, and anyone who comments on my post. I value all your comments and look forward to reading them! I wish everyone an awesome week!
