Chinese take out would be our choice as well.. or a good steak. Thanks for sharing the Boris Karlof pic. Here in the US we get METv which runs a show on Saturday nights called Svengoolie. Every week he showcases a classic horror picture. I've not seen Sven run this one yet but we have seen several Boris Karlov and Boris Jr. Creative Blessings! I'm quite sure it was a mouse that our 2 were after, as well. We do have a few in the garden. Where we used to live, in the country, there was so much small wildlife for the kitties to go after and in our time we've had some great hunters - Beatrice with rabbits was the worst - when she was young she couldn't get enough of them and one week, she got six! She would eat them and then sick them up all over the house - really gross! I used to say to her, "You can go off kitties..." She would always do it when we had company, or if my hubby was out and I'd have to deal with it.

I remember once putting on my slippers and getting the fright of my life because there was a mouse in one of them!!!

The best way to catch a live mouse that they've brought into the house, is to put lie a wellie on the floor and the mouse will run inside. You can then take it outside and tip it out. My hubby became a very good mouser in the old days when our old kitties were always bringing them in. The present two aren't using the cat flap so they aren't coming and going as they please, which simplifies matters for us! They are only allowed out under supervision because of all the problems we had early on with Ruby getting out.

I can't do a lot of prep on that particular counter in the kitchen, apart from working the machines. I use the peninsula unit which sticks out at right angles to that counter when I'm baking (biscuits etc) and all my chopping takes place the other side of the kitchen, between the sink and the hob, where my chopping board and knife block are. That unit is reduced height so I can sit on my perching stool to work, and I can reach both the sink and the hob without getting up. It's where I spend most of my time.

Have a great week and hope to see you again on Wednesday!
Shoshi xShoshihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00028185699225457125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10620506.post-31272777328984806282020-10-25T13:09:02.637-04:002020-10-25T13:09:02.637-04:00Sorry I’m late Linda! huge congrats on your 36th a...Sorry I’m late Linda! huge congrats on your 36th anniversary, a feast of a take out sounds ideal to me! Looks great, I love that you have little pumpkins on your table. I had a big jeans stamp like that - Judikins. I remember when it came out it was so finely etched that no one believed it would stamp properly! It’s been so useful. Meanwhile, am admiring your desk too, a small pile of Christmas cards and that scroll is simply awesome! I love, love, love your scroll project! What a fabulous idea. It looks so ancient and vintage - just glorious! Sorry not to see your Little Madams this week - Lily and Ruby send meows and purrs to them and a stroke from Auntie Shoshi too.

Thank you for your return comment last week and I found it very amusing your Trump comparison of Mittsy lol lol!! They are always so amusing, aren't they, with their funny little ways.

I've decided that the answer with the non-meatballs is not to mix them up with the pasta sauce but to put them on top at the very end. They've got quite a bit of okara (soya pulp) in them and I think it's this that soaks up all the liquid. I made them again this week and I added loads of extra veg stock and they still came out not runny enough!

Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi x #22Shoshihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00028185699225457125noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10620506.post-20760251104482613922020-10-21T11:44:12.907-04:002020-10-21T11:44:12.907-04:00Linda, what lovely things you made and did for hub...Linda, what lovely things you made and did for hubby!!
